Then use a very thin but strong screwdriver and insert it between top cover and the body at the back part of the battery compartment. Move the screwdriver up and down and slowly move it to the left and to the right and continue along the perimeter. Use two or three such screwdrivers and in 2-4 minutes the top cover plate with buttons will separate from the body/bottom/casing. Clean both parts thoroughly. And then genlty put them back together and push tuwords each other. The parts will snap closing. You are done. Mine is now working perfectly
