Why dose recording in dvr goes on default date when light goes

Well, I'm trying to decipher this. Why does the recording in DVR revert to the default (date/time???) when the light goes off and comes back on.

I'm guessing you are trying to say time, not date, maybe day?

The DVR is trying to remember when a show comes on and record it, based on your settings. Usually shows come on at a specific time. DVRs usually update their scheduled recordings based on updated programming guide information. If you are constantly unplugging or causing your receiver to otherwise restart, most receivers will download an updated guide upon getting power back or restarting (DVRs themselves not having any idea how long they've been without power, download a new guide just in case after you unplugged them you moved to Arizona). During this time, the recording you set is showing the original time you set it up, because until the guide is downloaded, it has no idea that its wrong.

My best advice, even if I'm wrong about our language barrier here, stop unplugging your receiver. Leave it plugged in and powered at all times.

All times.

For ever.

Time date stamp dcr trv140. I have this model. The date does not show in the view screen or on the audio output. Just wondered if any did on this model. Maybe I have a cheaper model.

From the 'Operating Instructions' manual:
"The recording date and time are not displayed while recording. however, they are recorded automatically onto the tape. To display the
recording date and time, press DATA CODE on the Remote Commander (remote control) during recording."

Bunker hill 67139 dvr hard drive wrong year 2058

The issue may be is that you have a DVD in your dvr , that still shoes that date and time. Just a possibility, not sure,. try to see if you can take DVD out of dvr, and use a new one. I happened to me but, the case was a vcr,and I had a recorded video tape which while playing , was showing a blue screen, with "no data received" which actually it was when no data vcr was receiving from cable at the time it was recording . If the problem still is not solved then there is issue with some circuits, and processors. Also you may want to check if Bunker Hill has any customer support, to check with them.

My hd 3 v5061u is on test mode how do i get it off

With your camcorder powered ON, and set to VCR / playback, there should show on the screen (viewer) something indicating "Menu" or a "FN" (Function) option. Select "Menu" (or Function icon to lead to the Menu). Check through the Menu options to find "Mode", and find the option for Normal Recording or playback, as opposed to "Test Mode", or "Demonstration Mode".

If this does not solve the problem, try this: Turn the camera OFF, remove camera battery, re-install battery, turn camera ON and see if that Re-set the camera. If not, it might be resolved by manually resetting the time and date. Then go to the Menu again to set Mode to normal recording or playback.

If those do not correct the problem, there is no shame in calling the camera company to speak with Tech-services. That's what they are there for.

How do you remove a recorded answering machine message

Settings:
In Settings dialog you can set the following options for Best Answering Machine:

* Greetings - allows setting up the greetings played on pick-up;
* Active in profiles - defines in which profiles the application will pick-up the phone and record messages;
* Storage - allows selecting on which disk the records will be saved;
* Pick up after - sets the time after which the call will be answered;
* Record time - maximum amount of time the message is being recorded;
* Format - message file format (amr,wav);
* Icon - configures the visibility of the icon displaying application activity and presence of new messages; depending on this parameter, can be shown in standby screen only (Phone application) or in any application;
* Play volume - play volume for the greeting;
* Records lifetime - automatically removes old messages;

Messages:
In this view you can listen to new and old messages, delete unnecessary messages, send the recorded messages and call the person directly from this view.

During the call:

When Answering Machine is processing an incoming call, you will see a dialog showing the application's progress with the ability to stop it:

* Answer - when this command is chosen during a call, it stops greeting playback or message record and you can continue talking to the caller;
* Hang up - stops greeting playback or message recording and terminates the call; hope this will be helpful...

Dish Network DVR 625 Problem with playback of recorded shows

It sounds as though the hard drive is about to go south on you soon and the receiver is going to need to be replaced however, in the interim you can change the options of the recordings and make it a default so that the recording continues past the end of the show. It is possible that extending this time will allow you to view the portion you want before it skips to the end. In order to do this press the guide button and select a program in the future. On the create timer screen select the option icon. You will now be at the timer options screen you can extend the time the recording will last after the end of the show and when it will begin recording prior to the show. I would also set this as your systems default so that it performs the same way regardless of what you are recording. According to the latest known receiver issues this is not identified as it is a common indication that the hard drive has an error internally. If this works I suggest that you have a replacement sent to you so that you do not lose the use of your DVR un-expectantly.Remember to watch all recorded events prior to replacement as you will lose that info when the receiver is swapped. Thanks for using Fix Ya.

Dvr4-alert full screen playback

That's because this is a quad. It compresses all 4 video feeds into 1 file. When you play it back, it decompresses the video and shows you each camera. Playback through this unit is the only way to see 1 camera at a time.
To be able to copy 1 camera shot to a DVD, this is what you need to do: You need to have a TV with Video in and Video out jacks.  Connect the Quad to the TV Video in jack and connect the TV Video out jack to your DVD Video in jack. Playback a single camera shot on the quad to the TV and hit record on your DVD. - The DVD will record whatever is shown on the TV.

Black box on top of screen during HDD playback mode

Problem solved! Thanks Panasonic Tech Support!!

In case anyone else has this problem, I'll tell you what I found out. This model DVD recorder does not have closed captioning functionality at all. So if this happens to yours, it is not the DVD recorder causing the problem. It is a setting on either your TV, cable box, or whatever else you have hooked up to it.

In my case, my daughter must have accidentally hit the "Text" option on our TV's caption menu. I changed that option back to its original setting, and the mysterious black box is gone.

Turning off recordng message.

You can turn the display off during playback mode, however, if the display was on during recording, that cannot be turned off. . 1. Press the DISPLAY button on the left side panel. 2. Each press of the button toggles the OSD function on and off. When you turn the OSD off : * In CAM mode: The STBY, REC, EASY.Q modes are always displayed on the OSD, even when the OSD is turned OFF and the key input is displayed for 3 seconds then turned off. * In PLAYER mode: When you press any Function button, the function is displayed on the OSD for 3 seconds before it turns off. Turning the DATE/TIME on/off * The DATE/TIME is not affected when the OSD function is switched ON or OFF. * To turn the DATE/TIME on or off, access the menu and change the DATE/TIME mode.
