Continually stops and goes to overload. will not work until I turn the wheel.
It could be a problem with the motherboard or part inside could
have a problem,, the machine needs to be checked to see what's
wrong with it.
There are 2 reasons for this problem. If the screen shows a message saying "stepping motor error" then it means that the main shaft on the emboidery unit is sealed up or is the A board (main circuit board) is faulty. If the main shaft is sealed up you can go to your local mechanic. If it is the main board's problem then you can go to http://www.sewingmachine.com.au/index.asp, they can fix up this problem.

on the backside of your free arm there is a small lever which can be moved to lower the feed dogs.
When you want them back up move the lever the other way.NOTE!!
They will not go up until the machine has made one revolution.

Locate a Janome dealer and have him order them for you. The power cord can be purchased from Radio Shack if the dealer doesn't have one.

step motor error may mean the embroidery arm is out of position gently push it back home towards the machine and see if this helps. If the mother board is gone, they will not be able to replace it as its so old, but you may be able to get an 8000 or 9000 on ebayso you can still use your discs if you don't want to get a new machine
