I just changed the breaks on my 2004 optra 5 ls and there are still spungy? What could be the problem?

Hi,

Most likely cause is air in the break lines. This can happen if the break lines are not bled during the break job. If you did bleed the lines during the job you may be low on break fluid. If the fluid level is OK then you should bleed the breaks again, making sure the fluid level stays high.

How to bleed the back berak. Its not working and travels to the bottom and no resistance

hi there...... their should be a wee nipple or an 8mm nut on the caliper the best way to bleed from the caliper is to open this ........while it is open squeeze the break then close it finger tight is enough and release the brake then pump again may take several attempts to get it right but should work handy enough but the ..... IMPORTANT thing is time the the opening of the nipple and the squeeze of the break so open nipple then squeeze fluid should come out close nipple release break then squeeze fluid back into caliper as i said this may take a few goes but you will notice the air come out of the nipple which is what it is for and will notice the breaks pressurizing when the air is been removed also the reason for timing is that when releasing the break with the nipple open you will take air up into the caliper which is not what ya want but not a catastrophy either it is easy enough to time and do so dont be daunted by it also as a precaution may be good to get a bottle of brake fluid but not essential good luck and hope it helps

We just replaced all the brake lines on our 2000 Concord. We bled the brakes, but still don't have great brakes. Is there steps we needed to take when we bred the brakes. The brake light is also...

When bleeding a break system have one person pump the breaks around 10 times and hold the pressure to the break peddle while the other person loosens the bleed screw......The peddle will then go to the floor..............Hold to the floor until the bleed screw is tightened again and repeat until no air is in the line............Repeat for all breaks and always check the master cylinder for low fluid level and top up.................Hope this helps you out.

How do i bleed front breaks after replacing break cables

the brakes on a bike are bled the same way as a car. You pump up the brakes and losen the bleeder valve on the caliper. It is a 8mm nipple on the caliper make sure to hold the brake lever until you retighten the bleeder valve. do this until you get a good feel on the lever. wait an hour or so and make sure the lever is holding pressure if not continue the process. another way to save some time is fill the brake reservoire and open the bleeder valve till fluid starts to come out then preform the above procedure. I hope this helps you and thank you.

How to get front brake pressure after changing master cylinder, bleeding didnt help or maybe im not doing it right

vacuum bleeding is best for these brakes. To do it without a vacuum pump you must pull the handle very slowly and pause about three seconds between handle pulls to allow fluid to refill the piston chamber.
