Click start control panel administrate tools computer management disk management right click on your drive select properties click tools you should see click check now click start two boxes

automatically fix files and scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors place then a tick in one box then select check now start then after its finished return and tick the other box you should not

do anything while the chkdsk utility is in progress any input may damage this drive
i have found the best results ticking in one box the returning after it has finished then ticking the other box

it might take some time depending on the size of your disk but be patient

hope it helps

The present study investigates how working memory and fluid intelligence are related in
young children and how these links develop over time. The major aim is to determine which
aspect of the working memory system-short-term storage or cognitive control-drives the
relationship with fluid intelligence. A sample of 119 children was followed from kindergarten
to second grade and completed multiple assessments of working memory, short-term memory,
and fluid intelligence. The data showed that working memory, short-term memory, and fluid
intelligence were highly related but separate constructs in young children. The results further
showed that when the common variance between working memory and short-term memory
was controlled, the residual working memory factor manifested significant links with fluid
intelligence whereas the residual short-term memory factor did not. These findings suggest
that in young children cognitive control mechanisms rather than the storage component of
working memory span tasks are the source of their link with fluid intelligence.

Why my memory card don't work

It maybe faulty. Test the memory card by inserting it into an USB memory card reader and the connect it to the USB port on a working computer.
If the computer does not see the memory card as an external storage device then the memory card is faulty.

My HP Pavilion A1210n doesn't power up anymore after I upgraded the memory. It doesn't start when I press the power button on the bottom front.

Looks like the memory is not supported by your computer or the memory is not working. Switch back to original memory works? Sometimes your computer only support a certain amount of memory by each slot. Smaller memory may work. Use only one memory at a time and see whether that works. Basically you might need to contact the memory manufacture and see whether their memory are supported by your computer for your specific make and model. Sometimes they use incompatible technologies which cause the issue. Basically the memory manufacture will know which computer it does not work with although the main category of memory looks OK. I checked your model of computer with the link below. Make sure you get PC3200 DDR SDRAM, not the common DDR DRAM. And according to the operating system a certain amount of memory should be installed for your operating system to start.

No matter what size memory I install, it only recognizes 1/2 of it. What am I dolin wrong? Thanx, Tom the Elder

hello,
try booting up one memory at the time
-memory 1 to memory slot 1 boot computer see if it will work. -memory 1 to memory slot 2 boot computer see if it will work.
-memory 2 to memory slot 1 boot computer see if it will work. -memory 2 to memory slot 2 boot computer see if it will work.
the reason for doing this is to make sure w/c one is defective if it is the memory slot or the memory it self, you can also check the manual to see what the maximum memory the motherboard can have.
cheers

I put memory card into a card reader and it got stuck and now memory card doesnt work

1. You have removed the memory card forcefully from the card reader, that's why it not working!

2. Does the card reader detects your memory card (even if it's not working)?

3. Check your memory card with a digital camera / card adapter!

please rate this advice if it helps...tc! :)

My playstation keeps saying to put in a memory card.. even though I have done

did you try reading the memory card without any game discs put in via the ps2 menu?

is your memory card working properly? could be a corrupted memory card or a faulty memory card slot.
try putting a friend's memory card on that same slot.
if it works... then your memory card is gone bad...
if it doesnt work...then your memory card slot has gone bad.

else try putting your memory card in your friend's ps2, see if that ps2 reads your memory card. if it does...then your memory card slot has gone bad.
