I have a 1997 Pontiac Grand AM with a Python alarm. Intermittently, the car dies while driving. It has started up normally immediately after the the engine dies.
When the engine dies, all lights on the dash go out and I hear the door locks cycle (unlock to lock) several times. This occurred twice yesterday within about 15 minutes. I had been driving about 10 minutes in light city traffic. This problem has existed for several months.
I have been trying to figure what could cause these symptoms and am considering the alarm.
Any ideas??
If engine dies while driving and locks trigger then program your remote not to lock/unlock when turning on/off ignition. My car did that for a while before i figured it out and now my car actually runs 100% better and I've had no problems since.....
The problem is in the connections with the unit to the car. check all wires make sure tight and connected. if no problem then let me know.

My python remote start was just installed in my Colorado and it isn't working properly. A few times it started right, but a few times it didn't. And when it didn't, I was unable to even start the vehicle manually with the key!
Now it didn't start again today, and I just went outside to try & start it manually, and it seems like the battery is dead!! I'm really pissed & I am taking it back to the place I had it installed to be repaired or removed before it causes damage to my new truck!!
1995 grand prix i hear a click but the remote wont start the car, at times it does the same thing with the key when i try to start the car ?????
