Hotpoint tumble dryer aquarius vtd00 While changing belt I inadvertently disconnected the door switch by dropping the front panel. I have three wires, brw/wh, red/wh and grey. brw/wh meters to live red/wh meters to neut. grey ??? Inside switch is a coil and switch, basically a relay. Can you help with the connections? 3=Gray
4=Brown White
5=Pink White
The 'switch' is likely a switch and a locking mechanism. 2 of the wires will be to engage the lock to stop you opening the door when the machine is full of water. The third will be a sensor to detect if the door is open. If one wire is obviously thinner than the others then it's probably the sensor wire and should go to the switch and the other 2 to the coil. If not, try tracing the wires back to their source - the wires for the coil will probably originate at the same place.
