Thank you for finding the manual for me.
Unfortunately I need something more detailed as I know nothing about machines (ie: Where is the fuel valve or on/run/start switch). I bought the generator used. the motor seems to be be speeding up and slowing down continueously. This may be normal but I have no way of knowing. THANKS AGAIN.

I have a coleman maxa 5000 generator no spark

first look at the oil level some generators have a low oil shut off then remove the front cover of the engine and unplug the small wire on the side of the coil then try to start it if you get spark back the its a wire problem if still no spark then the coil is bad
