Oil petrol mixture for Rockwell 26cc weedeater

Two cycle engines run on a mixture of gasoline and oil. Each engine type is designed to run on a specific gas-to-oil mix ratio.
IMPORTANT: Use only oil that is labeled for use in "Two-cycle" or "Two-stroke" engines. Home Depot and other stores now have "premixed fuel" of gas and 2 cycle oil.
To mix two-cycle fuel, start by putting correct amount of oil in gas can. Then slowly add correct amount of gasoline. Do not try to mix gas and oil directly in gas tank of equipment.

IMPORTANT: Do not use any fuel that is over 30 days old. Do not mix more fuel than you are likely to use in a month. Old fuel can gum carburetors and prevent starting. Always use fresh fuel.

The chart below shows correct amount of oil per gallon that each mixing ratio requires. Expect that yours will be between 32 gas to1 oil and 50 to 1. 32:1 and 50:1 are most popular.
Ratio GAS:OIL UNITED STATES OIL per 1 U.S. GALLON Gasoline
(128 oz.)
*INTERNATIONAL OIL per 1 IMPERIAL GALLON Gasoline
(160 oz.)
*INTERNATIONAL OIL per 1 LITER Gasoline
(metric)
32:1 4 oz. 5 oz. 31.25 mL 40:1 3.2 oz. 4 oz. 25 mL 50:1 2.6 oz. 3.2 oz. 20 mL

What type oil for chainsaw, both w/gas for fuel and also chain lubrication

You mix 2 stroke oil with the petrol/gas at a rate of 40:1 (40 parts petrol to 1 oil). For longer life use a good quality oil like Husqvarna or Stihl rather than the cheaper types you buy at car service stations.

The oil you use for the chain lubrication is just known as chain oil and can be bought at tool hire outlets.

Could you please let me know. 1] Can I use E10 fuel in my new RLT 30 CET 30cc trimmer that I have just purchased and am yet to start up? 2] Is 50 to 1 50mm of oil to one litre of petrol?

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly

First off the engine is designed to operate on unleaded fuel. The manufacturer makes no statements at all about E-10 Fuel. I will tell you from experience that you can use E-10 Fuel but.... should you ever have a warranty claim make sure the entire fuel system is 100% unleaded pre-mixed fuel. Your not going to hurt the unit using E-10 fuel as long as you maintain the proper fuel-oil mixtures. If anything a splash more of 2 stroke oil as in 22 mm / liter vs 20 mm. Or (+) 8 mm per gal.

Manufacturers statemenrts and recommended fuel mixtures below:

Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

n This product is powered by a 2-stroke engine and

requires pre-mixed petrol and 2-stroke lubricant . Premix

unleaded petrol and 2-stroke engine lubricant in

a clean container approved for petrol.

n This engine is certified to operate on unleaded petrol

intended for automotive use with an octane rating
of 87 ([R + M] / 2) or higher.

1 Litre + 2 0 ml =

2 Litres + 4 0 ml =

3 Litres + 60 ml = 50:1 (2%)

4 Litres + 80 ml =
5 Litres + 100 ml =

Do not know what mixture or how to use

40:1 mixture for the fuel:oil ratio.16:1 will cause your saw to barely run(if at all) and if it does, will fog out every mosquito for 4 blocks. You can use any reputable 2-stroke oil, though stay away from outboard engine oil. Get the good stuff that says Stihl, or Husquavarnah, or something like that. Even the Homelite stuff is ok. The oil tank takes regular bar and chain oil.

Gas oil mixture

The header says that it is an electric saw which would only require bar oil. A 2-stroke gas engine, however, does require fuel mixed with a modern saw oil at 40:1 ratio plus bar/chain oil in it's own tank as well. Always premix the fuel and oil in a separate can and shake well even before filling the saw. Hope this helps!

What is the proper fuel mixture for a husqvarna chain saw ?

The Correct Fuel Mixture Ratio
All two stroke engine will use a 50 to 1 ratio using today's two stroke oils. I once used an old chainsaw probably from the 1960s, that had a sticker on it that said to use a 25 to 1 fuel/oil ratio, but that would have been using two stroke oils of the time period the chainsaw was manufactured. In that chainsaw I used 50 to 1 ratio with no problems. Today's two stroke oils compared to yesteryears are more efficient at lubricating. It is like comparing today's synthetic motor oil to motor oils of decades ago. All the equipment I use in landscaping, anything from a weed eater, leaf blower, chainsaw, hedge trimmer, use 50 to 1 ratio, and I use all types of makes and models, Stihl, Homelite, Husqvarna, Shindaiwa, and Echo, Sears. I mix up a 5 liter fuel can and use it in all of the equipment for my customers and for my landscaping. To calculate the ratio is simple. For instance , if you have 1 gallon of fuel it is best to break it down into smaller units, like ounces. One gallon = 128 oz. You then divide this amount by the ratio of the mixture which is 50 to 1 (50 parts fuel, 1 part oil). So therefore 128 oz of divided by 50 = 2.56 oz (you would just measure out 2.5 oz ) of two stroke oil. If using metric, say a 5L gas can, you would break this down to smaller units, which would be milliliters. 5L = 5000 ml. 5000 ml of fuel divided by 50 = 100 ml of two stoke oil.

Chain turns then craps out, run hot

i assume it's a petrol driven probaby 2 stroke? if yes then you need a service on the carb & air filter if the engine is going back ok on idle speed.if it does not & goes off when you release the throttle then you may need to check the compression chamber which might have been damaged by not adding stroke oil in the petrol mixture.Hope this helps and is a 2 stroke engine...
