I connect my mp3 player and it says it's diconnected. It doesn't show up in my music library and I get a message on my screen that says firewall won't allow it. You need to go on the samsung website and go on troubleshooting problems and follow the step by step guide on that website. you can also download drivers on it too

click right mouse go to proberties --- system or device ---device management --- there you can solve the problem .

i had recently bought this mp3 and had the same problem as you. i went online and read many solutions about drivers and stuff... geez! after 6 hours of frustration and researching online. i almost decided to blast the mp3 out of its misery. LOL! but i used my brain and i had finally solved my problem.
install samsung media on pc turn on your samsung yp-u3 go to settings go to system go to format select yes COMPLETE MP3 FORMAT
NEXT PLUG MP3 INTO USB go to control panel system hardware tab device manager samsung yp-u3 driver tab update driver
The player needs to be charged via the USB connnection on your PC. If it doesnt fit, try the USB ports on the back. If its not working/not charging, please test the MP3 player on another PC.
have a samsung YP U3 MP3 player that i have installed the software on my computer for. The player charges when I slot it into the USB hole but it appears that the computer does not recognise the player. How do I fix this.
Press and hold the button while plugging the other end of the USB cable into the YP-Z5.
When the display shows USB Connected, release the button.
The device is now in USB mode.
When through, you must safely remove the USB device.
Note: To safely remove the USB device, right click the USB icon ( ) in the bottom right of your screen, and then click Safely Remove Hardware.
Upon disconnecting the device, it will return to MTP Mode.
I bought a Samsung YP-U3 . It had the installation cd .When plug to usb port It's charging but it shows disconnected...the samsung media studio and my pc don't recognise it, allways ask new samsung YP-U3 found. when i give the path to cd it dint get. Please help me....
