Hi i have a johnson 9.9 hp seahorse outboard was running fine come back to shore after fishing and put outboard in water **** to flush it and it just wont start i changed the fuel cleaned carb checked spark on both plugs which was fine only thing i did notice while it was running was it started from cold easier compression is good and fuel is getting through what could my problem be thanks.jason.
Let it dry out a day or so, perhaps in the sun or a warm place. Try again. If it still won't start, try to find a fuel line or fuel jet and inject some compressed air in to blow it out a bit. Good Luck!

Hey I recommend checking out the boating forums. Someone over there can tell you whats best. You may even be able to find an answer on there with the search.
Pull the stablizer pins and row back to shore, lol j/k. Did you check the linkage to make sure it was working properly, look on the motor itself not on the feel of it..
