1 week ago one speaker makes static noise...I disconnected the sick speaker and kept on using only one.....but today number 2 speaker did the same thing. So now I watch tv on Dell 3201 with volume from an old tv I kept. Anything to do before sending to repair man. My tv is 18 months old Tks
my w2600 speaks make a sound from the speakers like they're going out...or like an antenna is not connected properly...it starts out of the blue, and stops when it wants..while its going, I can barely hear the voices on the tv, and sometimes it drowns the voices out all together..I wont be buying another Dell product...their customer service is a joke..and my warranty went out about two months ago...does anyone know if there's a way to turn the speakers off?
I have had this tv for about two years, using it as a computer monitor/TV and it has been great until I moved across the country. I boxed it up well for the move but now that I have it set up again I have no sound from the tv. The speakers are hooked up correctly. When I first turned it on I got some static noise from both speakers and then that stopped and there is no sound at all. I have not tried to remove the back to see if it has a sound card like a computer, I was wondering if during the move something could have been jarred loose and simply needs to be pushed back in place. Probably not that simple.I have had this tv for about two years, using it as a computer monitor/TV and it has been great until I moved across the country. I have the same tv. I still have sound for now, but the static noise is so annoying, and it starts when it wants, and stops when it wants. Lately its been lasting longer and longer. I want to disconnect the speaker but dont know how. It's only in one speaker, for now. When it starts sometimes it low, and I can barely hear, and sometimes it's loud, and that's all I can hear..My tv is 2 years old. I will never buy another TV from Dell.I have the same tv. Easy fix. No soldering. We have 4 of them. Did not want to fill the landfill. Found the noise coming from the power supply with a scope. Studied the Service Manual. Discovered that they use the exact same power supply in both sound bar and subwoofer. Swapped them. and thing work perfectly with no noise coming from the subwoofer that i can tell. Definitely no noise coming from the sound bar.
A bit more details: I connected my iPhone to the sound bar. Played Spotify with the volume turned all the way down. Static loud and clear on sound bar. On my sound bar, I discovered the static went away after about 15 minutes. I could see it go away with scope. Disconnect power for about 2 minutes and when reattached, static starts again. Static went away again after about 15 minutes.
Disconnect Power FIRST. Get your electric screwdriver and remove a bunch of screws including the screws on the connector panels. The power supply has a large yellow transformer and two silver heat sinks. AC power goes in one end and a single strip connector with a bunch of wires comes out the other. MAKE SURE POWER IS DISCONNECTED!!!! This could kill you if you miss this step. Remove the power supply.
Disconnect power on your subwoofer. Remove the 4 silver screws on the bottom of the subwoofer. There are about 4 black screws with little arrows holding the back panel in place. Remove those. You will only be able to slide the assembly out about 2 inches. Cut the white wire tie on the big foam covered wire. This is the speaker wire and once the wire tie is cut, you can remove the assembly about halfway. You will see a little coil of wire with three wire attached with another white wire tie. (Ferrite core just in case you wanted to know). Cut the wire tie and the entire assembly will come out. Remove the speaker and the three wires from the connectors and the whole assembly slides out.
Swap the power supply with the one from the sound bar. Put it all back together or test it if you want to insure this fixes it.
Enjoy!
I have same problem, started with one speaker, then other, clicking, popping, static, and then nothing on one, and then the other. It is not the speakers, it is the audio amp board in most cases, but to stop noise, just unplug those speakers if you are using others through your audio outputs to amplified speakers. I have been doing this for weeks, and it works, but having replaced audi amp board once before, the replacement board only worked for a couple weeks, and it cost me $50.00 for a used one, so I would not advise that route unless you can find a new board.
This seems like at cables have gone bad or either the connections in the speakers went bad. Its best to replace them unless you know how to disassemble and re-soder the connections.
try swapping the speakers around if the problem still persists either the speaker is faulty or the speakers plug/outlet is usually at the back of the computer you will have to open up the computer to check the lead attached to the rear of the input plug make sure the connection is good or you might have to clean the dust from your computer dust causes static which causes your computer to overheat and all sorts of problems be sure to wear an anti static earth strap before touching anything inside your computer
have you tried this control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers select the appropriate speakers from the drop down list or click start control panel administrive tools computer managementdevice manager scroll to system devices + to expand, system speaker right click properties then select use this device (enable) try cleaning your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the CPU central processing unit and your sound card dust causes static to build up in a computer causing it to overheat any many other problems hope this helps don
I had the same problem with my dell tv. It's the exact same one you have. It kept making noise at first, and then the sound just went out. I changed the speaker wires to a slightly stronger, thicker wire and now it works great!! I hope this works for you.
What sort of computer do you have? Is it a laptop or desktop? Many
laptops have this problem and it is quite widespread in laptops. The
crackling or humming noise could be a result of interference from the
mains power signal.
If it's a laptop, try running it on battery alone (take out the mains
power cord). My laptop has this kind of noise in speakers when running
on mains electrical supply, but it goes away like magic when I run it
on battery.
A more long-term solution is to buy a 'Ground Loop Isolator' and insert
it between your computer and the speakers/earphones. They are quite
cheap and you could get it for under £10. It removes all static noise
and you'll hear crystal clear sound.
