I use an archos av700 to save video files from a mini cam (helmet cam). i use a mac powerbook pro w/finalcut pro to do my editing. finalcut pro uses quicktime to play video files. the video files that the av700 creates will not play in quicktime. the file will open, but once the play button is hit quicktime crashes. i am able to play these files in mplayer, realplayer, and divx. i'm not able to convert the archos .avi file in the divx converter. the divx convert only converts 49% of the file and then freezes. i alwo use flip4mac studio pro with quicktime and still haven't found anything that will work to edit these files. i have some really good footage here that i would like to get out. Please Help!!
