Whenever we print multiple pages 2+ the printer requests to press the check mark to continue after every page. THis is a recent development.

I had the same problem and being helped by HP operator.
first take the USB cable out of your computer, then put it off and then on again...it starts to print the test page again...then after the printer stops printing, put the just printed testpage face down on the scanner(glas) and press scan manually...after the scanning(you wait till that is finnished) and then put the printer off and on again....then connect the USB cable to the computer and that will stop the printer from printing the testpage every time you startup your printer....

hope it wil solve your problem, it did for me...

Read the Test Page, it says something about scanning and it wants you to scan the test page. Scan the test page and when you have done so, any time you turn on your printer it wont print anymore

You should print a test page. No Test page an internal printer problem is likely!

If test page is good reset the spooler \. More than one way to reset spool file. Spool file controls transfer from computer to printer. Spool file a mess then printer hangs!!!

Method 1
a. Go to Start / Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Services
b. Select "Print Spooler".

c. While Print spooler is stopped, start it by double-clicking on "Print Spooler" and then click the "Start" button.

d. Verify that the "startup type" is set to "automatic".

Method 2
Create a new txt file
Type in exactly as the following text:

net stop spooler
del %systemroot%\system32\spool\printers\*.shd
del %systemroot%\system32\spool\printers\*.spl
net start spooler

Rename txt file killspool.bat

save on desk top

Hello, my problem is that my laserjet printer p1005 doesnt print anything.. whenever i command it from my pc it doesnt do anything.. i tried changing cartridge but still same prob.... please helllppp...

First, print an Engine Test Page.

To print an Engine Test Page, open and close the cartridge door five times while the printer is in ready mode. The printer should print one page with multiple horizontal lines.

If the engine test page printed, is a comunication problem (PC configuration,PC/Printer conection/Driver bad installed)

The printer will print out the test page but it will not actually print anything on a paper whenever i hit print, it just runs a piece of paper through the printer blank

If test pages are working but print jobs aren't, it's almost always a driver issue.
Uninstall and reinstall the printer driver.
If it's still not working, and you're running windows 7, turn off the bidirectional communication mode.
post a reply here if you need further help or if that doesn't work.

HP psc 1315v (printer, scanner, copier) Will not print

The test page printing out every time it gets turned on is the printer's way of telling you it wants to be calibrated. Lay the test page on the scanner (follow the pictures on the test page) and scan it in. This should fix that problem and the "occasionally after waiting, something prints" problem.

Unfortunately, I don't have an answer to the "E" on the display or check printer cartridge light. Hope this helps!

In starting 1 page print

Hi,

I believe that after changing the ink cartridge you havent completed the alignment process. This Alignment test page will print everytime you turn the printer ON.To Complete the alignment follow my steps.

1.After turning the printer ON, wait untill the printer prints the Alignment test page.

2.Then place the alignment test paper on the scanner, facing down in a correct position.

3.Then press the Scan button(color) and wait untill the printer ON light stops flashing.

4.After the light stops flashing, take the paper out and the alignment process is completed.

Turn OFF and turn On the printer, it will not print the Test page again.try it and please let me know.Would really appreciate your rating for my solution.

Thanks

Take the test page ( also called : alighnment page ) that always prints when you switch on the printer and place it face down in the scanner.

Then press the scan button on the printer itself.
(this is the button at the bottom of all the buttons on the printer/scanner.)

Make sure that the printer scans the test page.
( sometimes you press the butoon and it doesn't scan )
( it makes a scanning noise when scanning succesfully )

Then it will stop printing the test page ( alignment page ) ever again.

This is a really stupid product feature on HP's part to waste ink and force people to buy more cartriges.
