SOURCE: HP Compaq ProLiant ML150 G3... Problem:

Hi ,
1) This server is a G3 , latest is G5 . It is outdated unsupported equipment.
2) Your continuous beeps on boot up with no video seems to indicate VGA card problem . Just put in another cheap VGA card and retest.
Good luck on solving your problems , hope I have helped you.

SOURCE: Please help, I have a

hmm probably the boot from cd is not initiate ..go to bios settings and restore optimal factory defaults..after that rearrange the boot device order to boot first from cd..after that save changes and reboot.. ....make a boot-able cd with server 2003 ...(it is enough cause it will update to the latest if it is genuine ..) and when its done insert and reboot...it will prompt you to press any key to boot from cd ..
for most of them pressing the F8 on during the boot will get you directly to the boot menu ..and selecting the device here will bypass the bios settings ..but not all supports this ..or have the same key for boot menu ..usually it is written on the screed near the key for bios..
anyway ..I will link a fully described step by step installation ...be careful cause there are steps that are not a must to choice..but in general it almost like a Xp installation ..
the thing that keeps you in this moment is the boot device order..(probably the boot from cd is disabled in the bios)so ..go there and check ..and thats all..
here is the link to have something to consult with on the run ..

SOURCE: how do i boot a compaq proliant dl380 with a usb

Hello,

Make sure you have turned on the USB Boot in the BIOS of the os. Once this is done, select the order you would like for the server to locate boot files. (Hard Drive, USB, CD/DVD, etc.) Once complete, insert the USB and reboot the server.

Good Luck

SOURCE: USE441A02R-ProLiant DL380 G4 HP NC7782 Gigabit

I have the same problem and have seen two possible options for resolution...try updating the NIC's firmware and it could be a motherboard problem that needs to be replaced by hp. If either of the options provides the solution, let me know. I'm in the midst of it. (I've tried updating the drivers, swapping network cables, even feeding the NIC a known connection that gives 1Gbps.)

SOURCE: HP PROLIANT SERVER gives continuos

First check your keyboard it could be a sticky key, if not than the best would be to install the HP diagnostic tools, (CD supplied with the machine) or download from the HP website... Look in Windows event viewer to see if there's something wrong as well...

Good luck!

HP Compaq ProLiant DL380 G2 Server won't boot from cdrom

Hello, I think you might find more information on starting up the DL380 G2 at the link shown below:
http://h20566.www2.hpe.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-c00972124

Also, the replacement instructions, in case it needs to be replaced, (and relevant troubleshooting info) for the 5i controller are found in the link here :http://h20566.www2.hpe.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?sp4ts.oid=316587&docLocale=en_US&docId=emr_na-c00688182

Please first make sure that you are using the proper startup boot disk for the server before entering the CD ROM option from the boot menu. Also, check the front panel of the SCSI drives for any errors or blinking LEDS that correspond to an error code. You can run a diagnostics CD/DVD that arrived with the manufacturer's pack to detect any raid issues on startup.

If you are still facing difficulties with booting up the server, you can find a video for replacement of the appropriate scsi drive here if you are still facing any issues of your scsi drive. Try a different hard disk or check the relevant diagnostics to verify whether is the controller or the drive that complicates the booting of the server

For more details check the scsi manual in the link below (section "FBWC LEDs" , pages 15-17).
