My Philips 60" rear projection TV has a problem with the green CRT. At first, I had separated colors at the top and bottom of the screen. Then I did a convergence alignment. The colors did align, however the green CRT will not align straight. When the green grid is on the screen, the top middle warps down to the center and the bottom middle warps up to the center. I CANNOT adjust the green grid straight! The best I could do was align the red to the green and the blue to the green. The colors are not separated, however the top and bottom of the screen are warped. What would cause this, and how can I get it fixed?
You have a convergence problem. Here are some of the most common symptoms.
Screen looks 3D
One or more colors can't be adjusted when when using the convergence menu.
Screen is bowed in but stationary.
Solution:
You need to replace the convergence chips and convergence resistors. Check the site www.TvRepairKits.com. They have put together a kit for your exact model. The kit inlcludes a photo instruction guide, original Sanyo STK chips, convergence resistors, etc. Everything you need to fix it yourself.
Each color (red, green & blue) has an amplifier IC (STK-).
When there is a convergence issue, the first step is change both
IC's for reliability. Then check for open fuses devices, usually
pico fuses.Then re-check convergence alignment.......T.

Where can I purchase IC's for my TV?
This has happened to our SONY projection 46" TV.
the same thing just happend to my phillips 60"
the picture just warped in on the top and bottom
were you able to fix this
I have exactly the same problem.
I was watching TV this afternoon. Everything was fine. Turned off the TV and came back about 3-4 hours later and turned the TV on. Colors were way out of alignment...especially green. Tried to use Magic Focus and found that the green grid was warped. But the green grid isn't adjustable, only red and blue. So now what?
