Hi
As a Windows Vista user, I've recently purchased a CanoScan LiDE 25/LiDE 60 which replaced an 8 year old HP Scanjet. With my previous scanner I could scan and copy directly into a Word document but in the Cannon I have to save the scan and then insert it into a Word document. As there are no copy and paste facilities on the scanning screen and Ctrl C and Ctrl V do not work, is there any other way of copying?
Cheers
Janice
You can try this free online ocr to convert image to text.
How can i open and edit scan docunent in world
Check if your Canon software creates a PDF image. A scanned image is a RASTER image, a series of dots, that 'appear' like text or drawing. You cannot use Ctrl-C or Ctrl-v. If the software creates a PDF file, you can cut & paste. Usr any good OCR (Optical Character recognition) software ad convert the raster image to editable text. Then you can cut & paste.
