Just bought used Whirlpool Duet Sport wfw8300sw01.
First load went thru all cycles, but pump was noisy. Checked pump drain, cleaned out change, hair clips, ink pen ect. Put plug back in and started 2nd load and after about 4 or 5 mins. F-28 error code came on. So saw on here to go to Drain & Spin cycle, did that pump would run (a lot quieter) and only the slow spin like it was washing, then at the 7 min. mark it's F-11 error code. Don't know what to do except take it back and get my money back. The previous owner said he hadn't had a problem with it. He wanted to know if it was level, it is, and to run it empty, tried and it still gives error code. So maybe he has had problems with it. Is there an easy solution maybe ( get my money back) lol. Thanks Linda

First check your washer plug to see if the connections are tightly
screwed. Next check your filter if you haven't for long.
Remove
the 3 screws at the bottom of the front panel under the
washer door. Your filter door will be light brown. If you find a hose
there it is to drain out excess water (water that could not be drained
by your pump) After you hv drained unscrew the cap and
remove all the junk inside. Have a large plastic bag to catch junk and
water. Refit carefully after cleaning out. If not solved, something
shd be blocking your pump, check this out
It means Suds Lock(Overdose of Detergent Detected During The Wash Cycle). If suds are detected continuously by the pressure switch during the drain or spin phases, the washer will fill 4 litres of water and during 5 minutes the unit will rest without tumbling, the water will be drained and it will try to spin or drain again.
If too much detergent was used: – Run the unit through a Rinse/Spin cycle. – Run a Normal cycle without adding any detergent. This should clear the unit of the excess detergent. 1. Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked. 2. Unplug washer or disconnect power. 3. Check wire harness connections to the drain pump, pressure switch and Central Control Unit(CCU). 4. Check/clean drain pump filter of foreign objects. 5. Plug in washer or reconnect power. 6. Check drain pump. 7. Check the pressure switch. 8. Verify CCU operation by running a Diagnostic Test.
If you are experiencing drainage issues and cleaning the pump does not work, you may have to replace the drain pump. You will usually experience an "F2", "SUD" or "F21" error code (depending on model number) for a drain blockage problem. Since this error code occurs when the drain cycle exceeds 8 minutes, if the pump motor or impeller becomes damaged, the pump will not pump at the required volume and the error code will continue to occur. Replacement pumps can be purchased on line at:
Prices vary between these sites, so shop all of them for the best deal.
NOTE: Make sure you also check the drain hose and the inlet hose that runs from the bottom of the wash tub to the drain pump. Small articles of clothing can commonly get lodged in this area.
If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.
have you checked the belt to see if it came off or maybe broke off,if its not the belt then maybe the motor whent bad or needs reset, that just some of the possibilitys you might want to check, some motors have a reset butten on thim
Unplug the machine. Unscrew the 3 screws under the front edge of the washer. The service technician manual is attached to the panel that slides down and off. Find F21 code. See suggested procedures. Note: My drain pump filter had a baby wash cloth in it along with some change that was disrupting the flow. It is exceptionally easy to remove, clean, and reinstall. Just line up installation notches when reinstalling. Whirlpool should have mentioned this filter in the User & Care Guide, but I could not find it anywhere in there.
