The slide at the back of the phone won't let the camera work

When pushing the phones lens cover down to take a picture, on the screen it says ''open the lens cover'', even though it is already open. Thus not allowing me to take a picture.

Possible that the switch on micro switch which triggers from the slide cover is damaged and so does not switch on. You might need to remvoe to find this fault and replace the switch, set the alignment once again or refix the switch .

SOURCE: Camera - Open Lens Cover.

The switch that looks if the lens cover is opened is broken, you will have to ask a repaircenter to replace the switch for you, as the camera won't function without it. the switch is soldered on to a flex cable, thats quite difficult to solder by yourself.

On our panasonic DMC - SZ6, the lense cover won't open when turned on

Lens covers are delicate things. A bit of dust or dirt inside and the the springs can't do their job. When cleaning doesn't work, to repair this I remove the lens cover and shorten the springs by cutting off a bit and then reattaching them. A small bit of mollyd to lubricate helps too. never use oil or silicone.

How do you remove the back from the SVP Q70?

hold the phone upside down (screen facing down). Then using 2 or 3 fingers placed directly on top of the backcover, slide the back cover down (slide it in a direction from the camera toward the SVP logo. Its hard to slide, so push down and slide as hard as you can and the back cover should slide open.

Have tried following instructions but cannot get back off to insert battery - nothing budges and am reluctant to push/slide cover too hard. Is there a trick to this?

There is three tangs that hold the battery cover in place. You can push with 2 fingers on each side at the bevel area on both side of the camera len. You could also bring you phone to your local service provider to ask them to remove the cover for you.

GE 27956 only produces white screen in photo frame.

I followed these steps that were listed, but it didn't work. Then I increased the time in step to an hour, and it worked

I called GE support. I was told
1. unplug power from base
2. unplug phone connection from base
3. remove cover and battery from handset
4. wait 10 minutes
5. put battery back, reattach phone connection and power

It solved the problem.
