I have a Mitsubishi DLP - WD62725. TV comes on but there is no picture or sound. No flashing lights on the front, only the 'green' power light and that is steady. We are able to control the volume on our audio tuner, which runs through the TV (can see the dial turning the volume up or down). But no picture or sound? Is this the bulb? Or something worse?
The green steady power light is a good thing, how old is the TV?
If you are routing your audio and video through the audio receiver, make sure that the inputs are correct on the display of the receiver, ie. IF you are planning to watch your DVR and it is hooked up on Component 1 for video and Coaxial 1 for audio, make sure that the receiver is still programmed for this in the input of TV/Video 1 or whatever the input. I have ran into this on countless occasions, simple fix, but a headache until it is tracked down. Double check the connection to the TV as well.

I have a Mitsubishi WD73642 model which I'm having a problem with it turning off. When power is turned on the status light flashes green and appears to be powering up. Then u hear sound. Picture comes on light turns sold green then within a minute the El TV will just turn off no other dianososis lights. TV is not located too close to the Wall. Any ideas why?
I have a mits. 82738 tv which would shut off after 20 minutes when first turned on .
Loose sound and picture.
Looked up error code in service manual and it said the lap was the problem.
Replaced lamp and now it works fine and the picture quality is great.
Lets try an error code operational checl. Unplug the tv and plug it back in. With the standby LED on press and hold the MENU and DEVICE/INPUT buttons for 5 seconds. The LED will flash a certain number of times pause for a while and blink again. Count the blinks before and after the pass, then post it here so that I can tell you what the problem is
If the set is 6 years old I would not put $550 into it, but a new 60-65 DLP should only run you from 1200-1800. If you check around you will find alot of Mits DLPs on the internet for even less.
problem with mitsubishi wd65737. thought the bulb was bad, bought a new bulb replaced it and now the screen doesnt want to come on. light on the front of the tv turns green, you have sound but no picture then the tv turns off the light on the front is now steady red. resetting the sytem worked yesterday but not today.
This remote device works on pulsed IR beams to work, and the fact that the screen refreshes very close to the speed of the controller could be causing the reliability problem..Sorry I don't have a better solution for you....accordianman
