How do i change my fornat/resolution on my model wd-82738 tv

See page 6 (this is a display & basic explanation of your transmitter) of the owners manual http://mitsubishi-tv.com/asset/file/basic_owners_guide/738-838_BIB_v3.pdf there is a format button on you remote transmitter. If you have other format issues it is probably your source & not the TV. You may have to change the source format in which case you will need that mfr. operating manual.

Flashing green light

I have a mits. 82738 tv which would shut off after 20 minutes when first turned on . Loose sound and picture. Looked up error code in service manual and it said the lap was the problem. Replaced lamp and now it works fine and the picture quality is great.

Mitsubishi tv wd-82738 no power

Most of these TV's have switched mode power supllies that run very hot. There is a likely chance that the capacitors have cooked (burst) on the PSU board. They are common capacitors. Open up the TV and with the mains electricity turned off, check the 'X' on top of the tubular capacitors. If they are bulging, rather than flat, then unsolder them and replace them. I've repaired many of these sets because of this problem.
