Sony HCD LX20i audio shelf sysyem won't turn on. Standby light flashing. Disc stuck in it.

Standby red light is on. Unit won't turn on.

Check the speaker wires for shorts, if okay! suspect the audio output ic's, the protection circuit won't come out of standby because there is a short.

wonder if the manual says anything on the flashing standbylight? but ill bet the flashing is a protector,which means the speaker amplifier is shorted or dodod. so disconnect the speaker wires first .

Check the back for speaker wire shorts, next! there may be a short in the audio output chip or surrounding parts in the stereo, this is more suited for a technician to sort out.
