Black lines (streaks) printing on left of page on my ricoh 2000n

...I think I should clean the "rollers" (?), but where are they and how? The toner just comes out of the case.

Running cardstock lightly misted with water or dilute cleaning solution through several times can help. Use either the feed button or print using a program that allows you to print blank pages.

We have installed in our office a Canon MF8330Cdn printer. Every page that is printed now have a vertical line down the entire length of the page about 1" from the left hand edge of the page. Can you...

Her are somethings to try.
  1. Paper jam
  2. Bad toner cartridge or bad toner.
  3. Clean the corona wire (see the manual)
  4. Drum is wearing out and needs to be replaced.
Sometime a small piece of paper can get jammed in the toner cartridge roller and cause this type of problem.
Also, often this seen with after market toner cartridges or refilled cartridges. Poor quality or old toner will clump inside the cartridge roller wiper blade. Just like dirt under the wiper blade on an auto, it will leave streak on the toner roller that are transfered to the print drum.
Take a look at the toner cartridge first and inspect the long black roller. If the streaks are there then you need a new cartridge.
If no on the roller streaks try to clean the corona wires.
Also inspect the drum to see if has streak. Try wiping drum with soft tissue paper to see if it come off or is etched into drum.

I have black streaks on my 1600n prints. I have tried cleaning the drum, however the streaks still exist.

Dirty print out is basically due to cartridge related issues. Take out the cartridge and clean its drum/ (green roller) with a dry, soft, lint-free cloth. The drum is usually located under a cover. Checkout for any spilled toner inside the printer and clean it also. Print a few pages so that the parts get further cleaned. I think, this would solve the issue.

Moreover, black streaks (thicker lines) and dots etc indicate faulty PCR Roller which is located behind the green drum inside the cartridge. Cartridge or get the PCR Roller changed by a professional.

Let me know if any further clarification is required.
GoodLuck!
Dont forget to appreciate the solution if I could have been of any help!

My ricoh 3235c copier had image problem, one inch wide streak down the page, so I chaged the developer unit and now it says no toner just replaced the toner too, what now? please help. thank you.

Try cleaning the blade(by rubbing a piece of paper between the drum and the blade) ,also clean the charge roller(black rubber roller) with a soft clean cloth. If all else fails replace the black drum unit(It's life is 60k)

Prints black vertical line at bottom of page on every print. HP 8550gn

This should help -

Developer streak
Developer streak is characterized by a line of dark or missing toner
that stretches from the leading edge to the trailing edge. Replace the
toner cartridge corresponding to the color of the developer streak (for
example, if the streak is magenta, replace the magenta toner
cartridge).

Repetitive defects troubleshooting
Repetitive defects are defects that occur in the same vertical position
on the page, but not necessarily on every page. Most repetitive
defects are caused by problems with one of the following, and are
indicated by the positioning of the defect on the page:
 developer roller (at 38 mm)
charging roller (at 44 mm)—see additional information under
“Charge roller set” on page 454.
 cleaning roller (at 56 mm)
developer DSD wheels (at 65 mm)
 transfer roller (at 66 mm)
transfer drum (occurs once per 11-by-17 inch or A3-sized page,
or every other letter- or A4-sized page)
 fuser (at 150.5 mm)
 imaging drum (at 195 mm)
 transfer belt (at 222 mm)

Printer prints a line across the paper around three inch from the left hand side of the page.

Check your Toner Carts.
Is the line a certain color?
Black perhaps?

Lift the door of the toner cart.
If you see a streak on your toner drum, you will see a streak on your paperwork.

Look at your fuser as well.
Is there a problem with the big orange roller?
BEWARE! Don't touch the fuser roller its EXTREMELY HOT!
Let the printer cool down before inspecting.

Ricoh Aficio CL 2000N printing problems

If the colors are good and solid with no fades, only black streaks, then black is the culprit. I suggest replacing the black cartridge.

Ricoh aficio 1515f printing dark line down left side

If the print can be rubbed off then this suggests the fuser unit is not working correctly. It could be that the thermistor is covered with toner and making the machine think the fuser is hot enough when it's not.

The black line could also be caused by the fuser if one of the pick off fingers is coated with toner or has worn into the Teflon of the roller.

Does the machine show the lines when you print a page from memory - such as a counter or config page? If not, this would suggest the optical path is dirty. Try cleaning the glass and look at the mirrors inside the scanner to see if they are dirty/dusty.

Ricoh Aficio cl2000

Most of the time when I find this happening on a printer, not just Ricoh's it turns out to be the PCU (photo conductor unit). The color PCU is one unit and the black is a seperate unit. Hope this helps.
