SOURCE: Igniter Problem on One Burner

Peace,
ngafm here at your service,
You may have some food that spilled into the burner and it could be causing the gas not to fully flow out of that one burner.
Or you just have a bead igniter.
If you have sealed burners and the cap and burner where the gas comes out, is removable by hand without tools!
You may want to check the gas holes in the removable burner is clear and or clean them out if they are clogged.
How old is the range?
I hope that these measures will help you remedy the problem simply and easily!
Bless you,
ngafm

SOURCE: Maytag MGR6775 Gas stove. One igniter not working.

Clean the burner with a wire brush around where the ignitor is. it needs a proper ground to ignite. When you turn the burner on do you hear a click click click? If so this should solve the problem.

SOURCE: none of my stove top burners will spark to ignite

There is an ignition module that sparks when it calls for lighting. This module could have a loose connection or be dead.

Electric spark will not work, burners will not light

The spark electrode sends a spark to ignite the gas in the burner assembly. If the spark electrode is defective or worn out, it might not produce a spark, or the spark might be too weak to ignite the gas. As a result, the spark electrode will make a clicking sound when the burner is turned on, but the burner won't light. If the spark electrode is defective, replace it.

I have kenmore stove, one of the burnner is not lighting up auto. how to light with pilot light?

No pilot light, uses piezoelectric to light gas, so you could use a match to light the burner...Proceed at your own risk, DO NOT DO THIS IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING

Check next to the burner that is not working for any buildup
The part that produces the spark is white with a short piece of metal sticking out the top,,,the spark arcs over to the burning igniting the gas

One igniter produces no spark. is it bad? can i

Looks like you may have a bad ignitor. Try adjusting the arc gap. Sometimes of the ignitor is too close to the burner, the ignitor will not spark. It may also be that te burner is dirty and needs a little cleaning to allow for the electric ignitor spark to arc accross, thus producing ignition. Good luck.

Having serious problem with the ignite. When I turn it on and its lit the clicking of the spark does not stop. Also, one of ranges will not light at all! Help.

Electric gas igniters sometimes get stuck in one position causing a clicking sound. The clicking sound that you hear is the electric arc that is pulsing from the igniter conductor (wire) to ground (the gas burner). It receives power from the electrical outlet that the stove is plugged into.
Residue from food and sometimes cleaning products may be preventing the igniter from producing a spark (Arc) to the base of the burner. This is a common problem that occurs when the stove has been cleaned or food is allowed to build up. Make sure that the igniter and the burner base are clean and dry. This will help with proper operation. Oven cleaner and a small tooth brush may be used to accomplish this. Another problem with ignition may occur if you have too little (touching) or too much space between the igniter and the base of the burner; it will prevent the burner from igniting. You should only have a little more space than the thickness of a nickel between the burner base and the igniter. A good “blue” arc from the igniter to the burner base is optimal. If this doesn’t work, you may need to replace the electric igniter module. Good luck.
