Hello, welcome to FixYa.

I understand by your post you have a DCS RGS-305 in which the hinge "popped" out, correct ?

I'll address the removal/replacment of the oven door first. These doors are only meant to be taken off with the hinge "locked", as shown here.

1) Fully open the oven door and locate hinge lock lever. After locating the hinge lock lever, pull it to the lock position as shown.

example:



Pull the oven door up at roughly 45°, and pull the oven door out of its hinge receptacles and away from the unit.

That should address the oven door question. These are meant to come off in a certain manner as I mentioned so if the hinges are not "locked" when the door was pulled off, they will need to be locked before going back on.

Time to replace the thermostat!

try thoroughly cleaning the burners, particularly the holes in the ring that the gas come through. The gas come through to heat the ignitor so that the ignitor knows to stop trying to light the burner ; if the holes are clogged the ignitor doesn't heat. The burner is easily disassembled from the top by removing a thin bolt, and you can clear the holes with a paper clip.

easy to install the door,before to remove check it how exactly the position of the door its a clip typr,or get the manual to see the procedure,open the door,pull open then if u see the hinge we have small lock in the hinge u psh it up the lock then slowly close the door,be care bcoz the hinge is powerfull,if u close the door see the hinge how to remove the door.

You might need a new thermocouple. The thermocouple tells the oven that the pilot is lit and that it is ok to let gas into the oven. It is the metal rod that is connected to the pilot. They are fairly cheap and easy to install.

You might try covering the glass areas ( such as the door ) with tin foil... Hope that helps...

The simmer flame turns the ignitor off. On my range, the tube that supplies gas to the simmer flame was plugged with rubber-cement-like stuff. Cleaned it out with goof-off and a pastic-covered wire, and it works perfectly now.

On my DSC RGT-305 range it wasn't either the spark module or the wiring, it was one of the little rotary switches that sit behind the burner control knobs. It shorted out (verified with an ohm meter). The switch is made by State Tool & Mfg. Co. and the part number is 25300. Wayne
