I baked a pork tenderloin in my oven at 425 degrees. When I took it out. i thought I hit cancel, but instead F2 has come up, the broiler on and it won't turn off and keeps beeping. HELP!!!!

yes they are solid wired together you may need to have the bake element but what has happened with your oven has been a massive short in the heating coil causing spark flame this must have caused a short in the temp control unit all the way back to the thermistate the oven really needs to be looked at by a service pro or you could /will end up replacing parts that dont need to be i have been doing this for yrs and in mu opinion you will save money by having a service man check whats shorted just have him/her check the elements and if there good then the control board thermals
check the bake (lower) element, mine just went out. It was easy to spot the problem once I pulled the element out, the wire had burnt off the end. Please remember to turn the power off first.
your oven uses fboth the broiler element and the oven element during baking. Since you know the broiler element works, you most likely will have to replace the oven element.
thank you for the info. you need to replace the oven sensor. an F2 error is oven is to hot. an F3 error is a shorted or open oven sensor. the oven sensor is easy to change, and not very expensive. if you have further questions, let me know. shane
Do you have any cuts, holes or "shorting" or tin-foil/aluminum around your bottom bake heat-element? If so, you may need to replace the baking Heat Element. (Ensure you do not use aluminum foil around your heat element to prevent your oven from getting dirty)
To replace your baking heat element, with power off; remove 2 screws securing the bake element. Slightly tug and pull towards you for about 3 inches or so and disconnect the connecting wires at each end. Then completely remove the heat element and install new in reverse manner. Whats' you're model number?
I'm afraid you might need a new thermostat. The only other thing you might check is to make sure that your 'vent' is not blocked with a pan or tea kettle etc., but I'm pretty sure it is a thermostat.
jaz3133, it's probably the temp sensor that has gone bad. You should be able to get it from the front. It's the probe that comes out from the back wall of the oven. You can have someone ohm it out. Should read approx 1100 ohms at room temp. Part number for the temp sensor is WB20K5040. Make sure power is off befor removing the sensor. Catriver..post back.
Similar problem. When baking over 400 degrees we get the F2 code that can only be reset by cycling the power at the breaker. Replaced the electonics to no avail. I'm thinking its the cooling fan located between the oven and microwave (upper unit) it never comes on which may cause a separate temp switch to generate the F2... but I'm not a pro. :)
