6125N won't print in network

Connected xerox 6125N by patch cable to the router/hub of my LAN network. it does receive an IP address, PING works, I can address it through the CentreWare interface - but any print job (Word, Excel, Acrobat, ...) wouldn't go through or even wake the printer from standby. Anybody having the same problem, and resolved it?

Same problem although worked fine for a couple of weeks then all of a sudden stopped working. I though it may have been an internal DNS issue but switched to using a static IP and still having problems. Jobs are just sitting in the queue with no status.

I have the same problem. My 6125 works fine using the USB connection, but won't play ball when connect using the LAN via my switch. I can get an IP address and see the printer in the printer list, but the beast is always 'offline'. I'm using a D-Link DSL-320B modem to connect to the internet - any ideas?

Rather old but onsolved problem, which I have as well. It has been working without problems for years, but now, after I reinstalled Windows 7 (and the printer driver off cause), it will not wake the printer. Did anyone find the solution? Start Up Page is off, so it is not a solution for me, and I haven't made changes to the printer while reformatting my computer. It has to be something on my computer, I guess...

If you can address the printer through CentreWare then your halfway there. Is now possible to print a test print via CentreWare if that works look at your p.c, driver setup.
Good luck.

SOURCE: Can ping printer but jobs not received

have you checked your firewall?
Often times, even though you can ping the printer, the firewall will block the data going to the printer.

SOURCE: How to stop test print

On the printer press the "Menu" button, then press the down arrow twice and select "Admin Menu" by pressing the "OK" button. Then press down once and select " System Setup". Press the up arrow once and select "Start Up Page". It will probably say "On" and have a * next to it. To turn it off, press down and select "Off" by pressing "OK" again. Make sure that the * shows next to "Off" on the display.

I had the same problem, hopefully this will fix it for you :)

SOURCE: Our Xerox 8830 stopped printing

Hi - have you reset the machine with the network cable attached? What is the machine connected to at the other end of the ethernet cable?

Do this (if not already) there is a device on the other end of the copier Ethernet cable, probably a hub or switch which is probably connected to a router. With the copier powered off, go down to whatever device is at the end of the "chain" (probably a router) -- power it down and back up with the with Copier off. If there is another device between the copier and router then power that down and up until you're back at the copier then power that up. The copier probably gets it's IP address from the router and without that address nothing can find the copier.

Good Luck,

Mikeywaf

Hello sir, my printer model is hp1606dn,i bought 6months back. now the problem is iam not get print from our network. it doesnt communicate with the network. ihave un pulgged the lan...

HP printers lose their IP settings all the time, print the TCP configuration report from the printer and look to see what IP address the router has assign to the printer. If there is no address then the router is not communicating with the printer. If there is an address, try to ping it from your computer by hitting the start-run-cmd (black box appears) ping ipaddress (ping 192.168.1.101) example. there should be no packet lost.

How to configure 4 Lan + 1 Printer +internet connections

Hello,

If all your connections are wired, you can use one of the three following solutions.

1. Purchase a router with more then 4 LAN ports on it.
2. If the printer or any of the computers have a wireless network card, then purchase a wireless router and simply connect 4 LAN cables and 1 WLAN.
3. Purchase a hub. Connect 3 computers to the first 3 LAN ports on the router; connect the hub to the fourth LAN port and then connect the last computer and the printer to the hub. In essence both your computer and the printer will share the same IP address (the IP given to the hub) and they should work.

In any of these situations, connect the internet connection to the WAN port of your router.

Thanks,

Pat

Internet connection work fine on WiFI, but connections from desktop, connecte with cable to router LAN port does not work

Either you are connected to a different wireless network or the connection from the modem to the router is incorrect.... Make sure that the other end of the cable from the modem is connected to the WAN/Internet port of the router. If you have this kind of connection already, try checking the TCP/IP properties of the computer connected to the LAN port, make sure that it is set to obtain an IP address automatically...

Initially check whether the ip address is assigned in the computer in which internet is not browsing using the command ipconfig/all for windows and ifconfig for linux. If ip is present try to ping the default gateway ip address,if ping is success there is no issue in the cable you used and also with ip address. If ip is not assigned assign ip by manually or by using dhcp of router.Enable and disable the lan card in the router so that sometimes the problem get resolved. After ip is assigned and ping with router is ok .Ensure dns servers are correct else give google public dns server 8.8.8.8.Then try to ping www.google.com in command prompt if ping is success then you can browse.

How can i established network connection with ir2800 and desktop

First of all you must have a local network hub.Connect your network hub with your computer and the Ir 2800,your IR have to be equip with a network card.(If only have to connect one computer and your computer is not connected to a LAN network, you can use a cross-over cable connected directly from the computer to the IR machine.Give your computer a ip address by right clicing on the local LAN select properties and select internet protocol ver 4,and select a ip address. If your computer is already connected to a network, dont change the ip address go to command prompt tipe in ipconfig/all.This dos command will show you what the ip address is of your computer.
Example the ip address is 192.168.1.10,Select a ip address for your IR by changing the last class to any number. But you must make sure this ip is not in use, lets say you select 25.In the command prompt tipe :ping 192.168.1.25.If you get a reply, dont use the number.Select a number untill you dont get a reply and a time out response.
Now use this IP address and program it on the IR2800 under additional funcktion system setings, network settings,TCP IP settings.
Switch the machine off for a minute and switch it back on.

Now load the printer drivers of the IR and add the port you selected.
Restart the computer,

And print to your computer.

If you have any trouble along the way, just send me a note

Network printing (network port)

The copier and the workstation should have IP addresses from the same LAN class.

Open any internet browser and try to see the printer's webpage - Command Center by typing the printer's IP address.
If you see it = OK if no then something is wrong with the network ...

If you are using a router/hub check if you have a green light for the printer port at the router/hub and at the printer - ussualy a green light indicate OK

If the cables and the rest of the network hardware is OK do a ping from your computer to the printer.
In windows XP: Start->Run-> type cmd
then: ping xxxx.xxxx.xxxx.xxxx
whre xxx = printer IP address
you should see a replay if everything is OK

A very simple check is to bypass the whole network infrastructure (which may be at fault) by connecting the PC or a laptop direct to the printer using a cross-over network cable. Give a static IP to the printer and a static IP to the computer. from the computer you shoould see the printer webpage (open any internet browser and typ the printer's IP Address)

Sometimes for security reasons routers have ON some filters - check any firewals about MAC / IP filters or ports. To print using the network printer you need to let open port 9100.

Unable to connect properly on LAN

Showing connected only means there is an active cable attached to the network port.
You will need to check the laptop to see if it should have it's IP address assigned manually or is being assigned by the router/hub in your network using DHCP.

Hope that helps.

Cannot "ping" 192.168.1.1 (default gateway)

1) yes, referring to the router's IP address.

2) I determined the IP addresses of all my computers and tried to "ping" them but could not "ping" any of them. I can "ping" the IP address of the computer I am working from but I don't think that helps in TS this situation.

3) I'm wondering if my router is fully set up correctly. Do each of the computers have to be "saved" in the router's settings?

Documents not printing

Hi How to check the print server is in the wireless network or not!! Check under the Router Setup page Router's ip address... Check if you are able to ping the Print Server Ip address....Since it the router will assign a ip address from DHCP range.. If you are able to ping the router's ip address and the print server ip address then the print server is in the Wireless LAN... Try the following steps. 1. Go to run and type "cmd" press enter 2. type ipconfig. 3. Check the range of ip address...if its 192.168.0.XX 4. Try pinging that ip address.. 5. If able to ping the router and print server.. Then the wireless network is fine... Somehow some of the printer's don't work with some of the print servers.. Check if D-link does support the printer or not!!!! for this particular model of the router...
