The f connector is connected in the tuner, and the tuner will have to be replace, or a real go TV tech can solder a new connector to your tuner.
On most sets the tuner has to be removed for this to be done-a new fitting or a new tuner can be installed.
If the set has the standard RCA audio and video jacks for input you can hook a cable box or even an old VCR to those and BYPASS the coax fitting--hook up to those inputs--select them on the set and leave set on that input and change channels with the box or VCR.
Much cheaper than replacing the fitting and gives a better picture.

You will have to go to Radio Shack or Wall Mart, maybe Home Depot and get a matching transformer. That will have spade terminals on one end to connect to your tv and a round (75ohm male thread) to hook to your converter box.

I have a Dish Network HD40-310 Monitor. When you turn power on the green power light comes on, then tv makes funny noise, then goes off again without producing any picture. Any ideas how to fix?

Tv fell off about 3 feets or more?Yes,turn on the tv see if u getting any power to the unit?Might have broken main PCB board too.If unit still have power, check see if tv get statics screen have colors shaded in red or mutiples colors, mean the tv CRT(tv tube) yoke is dead and damages scrambles radiation.Or the tv getting power but have high pitch sqeeling noises or rattles noises,tv have the CRT-(tv tube) is crack by the neck or broken totally.CRT have damages problems or dead tv is worthless, beacause of CRT(tv tube) is dead, not fixable even that antena connector input is replaced.
