I will be working on a project, and the carriage get stuck it tells me to take the hoop off and put the small one on. But its a project for the large hoop, Then when I have the small one on, the carriage gets stucks and says put the big hoop on. It is like the carriage is stuck. I take off the hoop and it wont return the the stand by position. I have ruined so many items by this. Any hits would be greatly appreciated. I just got it in Aug 2006. I get no shere with Singer Support.
Dear Netter - I too have a CE-200 Quantum Futura Sewing/Embroidery Machine. I have run into similar problems. I have tried the various things suggested: remove hoop, turn off machine, turn on machine, replace hoop. However, often the carriage does not return to the initial location (carriage all the way to the left, mounting plate all the way to the bottom, closest to the user). I have found that with the gradual application of force, I can pull the mounting plate all the way to the bottom of the carriage. I turn off the machine before I do this. I have not tried to move the carriage to the right or left; I have not had to. Sometimes when I turn the machine on, it beeps steadily (more than the usual 3 or so complaints). But when I turn it off and on again, eventually it is ready to continue embroidery. By doing this, I may be causing damage to the machine or making the warranty void. If you do it, you may face the same problems. Or it may make your machine into an expensive paperweight. I can't offer you a complete solution for your problem, but I hope this helps.
