The Sound menu lets you adjust audio output. To access the Sound menu, press MENU on the remote, and then select Sound from the Main Menu. The following audio items can be adjusted:
Equalizer The five-band graphic equalizer lets you adjust the audio frequency settings. You can select one of the five-band Equalizer Presets or create your own personal preset.
Sound Preset Allows you to choose a specific Sound Preset. Press the right arrow to cycle through the options: Standard, Movie, Voice, Music and Personal.
Frequency Range Displays the different graphic equalizer bands set for each Sound Preset option. Choose a band and make adjustments. When you make adjustments, the Sound Preset option automatically changes to Personal. Press the left or right arrow button to select the frequency (100Hz, 300Hz, 1KHz, 3KHz, 10KHz) you want to adjust. Then use the up or down arrow button to adjust the level. When you're done adjusting the levels, press the MENU button to exit.
To view the frequency range of another Sound Preset option, press the right or left arrow until no band is selected and Frequency Range is highlighted. Then press the up arrow to highlight Sound Preset.
Sound Type Controls the way the sound comes through your speakers. The options available vary according to the input selected.
Mono (available for regular TV viewing only) Plays the sound in mono only. Use this setting when receiving broadcasts with weak stereo signals.
Stereo Splits the incoming stereo audio signal into left and right channels. Most TV programs and recorded materials have stereo audio. The word Stereo appears in the channel banner when you tune to a program that is broadcast in stereo.
Sound Mode Provides special processing through your speakers (depending on the setting you chose as your Sound Type). The available sound modes are:
Off Does not give any special sound processing.
SRS WOW Gives a surround effect with more bass. (available for models L42FHD37, L46FHD37, and L46FHD35) SRS TurSurround XT (available for models L42FHD38, L46FHD38, L52FHD38, and
L40FHD380) Dynamic Bass Improves bass output. Displays a choice list of available settings you can adjust: Off and On.
Balance Press the right or left arrow buttons to adjust how much audio is sent to the left and right speakers.
Auto Volume Level Reduces the annoying blasts in volume during commercial breaks, and also amplifies softer sounds in program material. Eliminates the need to constantly adjust the volume.
Internal Speakers Turn on or off the internal speakers. If you have a device connected to the AUDIO OUTPUT jacks on the back of the TV and you want to control the sound by the device instead, uncheck the box.
If you would like for me to send you the user manual, please send me an email to [email protected]. Put "RCA L46" as the subject and I will send it to you.

SOURCE: 46" Samsung LCD, no sound output whatsoever

First try hooking up a different source such as a DVD player or Cable box and see if you have audio. If you do then check the audio output from the computer. If you do not have audio then make sure the tv audio is up half way and turn off the set. When you do this you should hear the down chime provided you have the chime turned "on". If you do not hear the down or up chime then the sudio circuits on the Main bd are bad and the Main bd will have to be replaced. A quick way to check to see if the audio circuits are working is to listen for the up or down chime when turning on of off the set coming from the tv speakers speakers.

SOURCE: hooking up new tv to surround sound

I recently purchased a vizio 37" LCD tv, I have tried everything in hooking up my Sony DVD surround system to the TV. However, I found no audio output on this TV. Could you tell me if there is a way to hook the tv directly up to the surround without an output?
Is there something else I need to buy?

SOURCE: Hooking up surround sound to TV

You have to get an optical audio cord.

The optical output on the vizio is right next to the ac cord. Make sure that your audio amp has the same input conection.

SOURCE: proscan tv surround sound hook up

This depends on whether you have digital cable box or not. If you have a Digi Cable Box look for the red/white RCA output and connect this via RCA cable to the Red/White Audio input on your surround.

If just Basic Cable look for a red/white audio output on the back of your televison. connect this to the Red/white in on your surround. Could be called tv in or auxillary.

SOURCE: LG 5010 42" + Xbox360 + DVD RECIEVER/ Surround Sound SET UP HELP!

soulshaun:

I need some clarification before we can proceed. Which audio/video cable did you use to connect the 360 & your home theater receiver & TV/monitor? It makes a difference which you use. The HDMI cable would be the preferred one to use. The fact that the receiver only has 1 HDMI connection limits your options for other digital connections. Respond to this post & I can provide additional info. I have found that when responding to someone's question, I have a tendency to provide too much info on the 1st response.

peace-out

Nosound no analog signal can get digital but has no sound

I'm not joking when I give you this "fix". UNPLUG your TV from the wall and let it sit for at least 30 minutes. (Don't JUST turn it off, UNPLUG it) I've fixed several TV sets with no sound this way. This allows the microprocessor to do a "reset" and sometimes works.

Panasonic TC-32LX60C LCD TV Internal Speakers have never worked. Had audio hooked up through surround system. It's now a spare TV. How do I get audio through the speakers?

Please check in the Menu under Audio section if you can disable the internal speakers. In the Sony and Samsung TV's you can. It will be in the bottom of the of the audio scroll Menu.
It will ask you TV sound Internal / External ?

Hooked blue ray player into the klh ha 9000 to get surround sound using av cables. All i can get is two speekers to play.Do i need to use a optical cable,or is their some other problem.

If you want to get true surround sound, you will need to have a digital interface (optical toslink or digital coax) If you are using analog cable (red and white) the best you can get would be stereo or prologic surround

Have you tried looking at the sound set up menu on the TV? Some sets will only output sound via certain sockets which have to be switched on. Others will only output sound via internal speakers till they are switched off etc.

We don't get any sound from the monitor, Why?

This monitor doesn't have any internal speakers. You either need to buy some external speakers, or plug headphones into your computer.

My high definiton is working great and everything is fine except one major thing, which is that there is no sound at all. I would like to know how i might fix this problem.

Good Day, timerwer;

HD is fine but no audio! Not knowing that if you ever had sound, have surround system, hooked to an input or RF, I would suspect that you only have the Green, Blue, and Red cables hooked to your TV and the Audio cables ( red - white ).
If you do; unplug TV (reset, reboot) from A/C outlet for 3 to 5 minutes. If still no work try these suggestions:
1. Make sure the TV's internal speakers are turned 'ON'.
2. Make sure the "BOX" ( cable, sat, u-verse) volume is turned up all the way up.

Good Luck, big IRISH.
