Dishwaser won't start

Your float adjustment is incorrect, asis your fast idle

Sounds like the clutch slave & throw out went
or is leaking & the clutch won't release

Sort of sounds like the timing belt broke-- if you have one

The valves may have hit the pistons & that is why it won't turn over

I don't know any of that is true & won't wish it on anyone,but
it is a place to start

Probably one of two different things can cause this problem. Your dishwaser drain could be clogged you can take off the the drain and try to see if it is clear by using a vaccum cleaner reversed to try and blow air through the drain if clogged the air will be strickly hammpered or not getting through at all, if this is your problem then starting at the filtered drain and work your way to where the drain enters the house hold sewer. The blockage will some where between these points. The other possiblity is that the drainiagepump on the dishwasher is bad, you'll have to referre to your owners manual in order to see what it say about testing or replacing the pump. un hook your battery for 15 minutes then retry to start

If the engine won't crank with compression in the cylinders, either the head gasket has blown or something else major has happened.
You will have to get it towed to a shop.
If it cranks normally but won't start, you have to figure out if it is a fuel or ignition problem.
Did the temp gauge show it was overheating before it died ?

sound like it could low fuel presser. or clogged fuel filer. so start by changing filter then check fuel presser.

Now you have a good battery & a starter that turns over the motor

Have you cycled the key on & off with a fuel pressure gauge on the
fuel rail?

Do you have a fuel filter that isn't over 3 or 4 years old?

Have you checked for spark while cranking ? Use an old plug on the wires,
if you have ignition wires,don't ground the wire without resistance

If you removed the ducting & MAF Sensor it won't start

Tell us what you checked & exactly how that was done.

If you've checked that nothing is in the way (no spoons hanging down, etc) just press and hold start and it will start up again and probably won't reoccur for the rest of the cycle. Our dishwasher started doing this near the end of its life....
