Hi there. I'm very frustrated. We have a new vid camera and for some reason I can't seem to tranfer the videos onto the PC. When I connect the USB, it recognises there are files there, but when I try to play them, or import them into windows movie maker, it says it doesnt recognise the file.
Does windows movie maker not recognise MOD or MOI files?
Another thing is I have finally got hold of the program powerdirector of cyberlink and it recognises the files but doesnt allow me to view them before importing them so can't give them file names and now importng a new lot from my camera here are going to be lots of doubles of MOvO1 etc.
Please someone help!! find this all so difficult!!
MOD Video Converter is an all-in-one program dealing with .MOD files.
1.You can transform the MOD files to AVI, WMV, or MPEG video forWindows Movie Maker, and other target video types also supported, suchas RMVB, RM, MOV, MP4, 3GP, FLV, SWF, VOB, DV, M4V, etc.

I had the same problem, try downloading a file converter such as "prism File Converter" to change your MOD files to JPEG and then import in Windows Movie maker

ok, awesome, will give that a go. Thanks.
does it need to be in jpeg form for widnows media maker? Usually, shouldn't it automatically be able to be converted into a user friendly format without the user having to spend extra money on a converter? I'm just wondering if converting software came with it that we misplaced....
