Water leaking out of breather at the end of the flush.I tried to silicone the cap and it stopped the leak but unit groaned loudly during the fluush cycle so removed the silicone. Back to original problem now - units works fine , has its normal loudish grinding noise for shirt time as blades do their thing but sends out a skoosh of water at the end from the top cap. It can be a tablespoon or third of a cup so it can smell. Other question-Does unit ever turn on by itself during the night if there is a back flow?

SOURCE: loud grinding noise from unit when flushed like

take the pump out and haul it outside and spray it off and check in the bottom of the pump to make sure there isn't anything stuck in there. then shop vac the bottom of the tank out to make sure there isn't anything funky in there that would get clogged in the pump. sometimes the out let line gets clogged as well you can buy a drain king ( it's a rubber deal that hooks on the end of a hose and when you turn water on it swells up and sprays water out) then stick it in the outlet pipe and let her rip and see if it lets the water through.

-Here sample solution.
-The plastic box or cap you're talking about is the " Breather Cap"
-Check the drain tube from the breather cap to the sink. It must be clean and no block.
-Make sure the breather cap stays in up right. (Straight Up)
-Check the breather cap's Cap . Any big chuck of food waste stuck inside or not. If so the clean it.

I have a problem with the water in the tank leaks past something, maybe the flush valve assembly and the tank has to refill about every 25 min. I got a new flush valve assembly and changed it and put...

Hi keithn60...

I had the same problem one time with my toilet tank, the answer is to put some silicone on the seal washer between the take and bowl assembly and to use a level on the tank to tighten it just enough to be level and not leak.

Oil cap and dipstick covered in creamy sludge, is this breather prob as not losing any water

Yes, it could be that a plugged up Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) valve or engine crankcase breather (with filter) is the cause allowing moisture to condense in the crankcase. However, if the valve and breather are okay, a cylinder compression test should be done to verify that the cylinder head gasket is not leaking. Regardless, the engine oil should be drained and the engine flushed with clean oil and an appropriate crankcase flush additive. Entrained water in the oil (the creamy sludge) will damage engine bearings quickly.

Our coffeemaker leaks water from the bottom while brewing

There are many possible points that the leak can be.

All points of the water supply from water tank to the pressure pump then to boiler and finally to coffee group. All this are connected together with plastic or Teflon pipes with easy fit unions secure with clips

You need to disassemble the machine and work it without the side panels of course with extra care since power electrical cables are exposed.

In this way with a very good visual check while the machine is in operation you can identify the leaking point and fix it.

I put stop leak in radiator and now the car blows cold air vs hot air when running the heater. why?

The stop leak have restricted the coolant flow to your heater core. You can try flushing out the Stop leak with Preston Radiator flush or replace the heater core. Once Cooling system flushed out, replace thermostat, radiator cap and repair coolant leak. Good luck and hope this helps, and Note: Common Black kitchen Pepper does great as a radiator stop leak without leaving any residue and can be cleaned out of the system with water and not coolant flush. Two table spoon is more then enough to stop a small leak. Good luck and keep me posted friend.

89 gmc 5.7 cooling problems

Hi! Screw-1
Some times I even get a little confused when the temperature gage in the cabs are not as accurate as we would expect. If you leave the radiator cap loose and put a thermometer in the coolant, or better yet ask around and find a infrared thermometer (you can leave the cap on). Check this reading at both ends of the radiator. Even if the water is at 210 degrees F, at the inlet from the top hose, as long as the coolant is at a lower temperature at the opposite end, this should be fine. If the radiator cap is leaking you may want to make sure the cap is ok.

If the gaskets are old, the pressure change with the breather off may indicate the PCV valve is not working properly. I believe the crankcase breather is still in the air breather. The combination of problems as well as excessive blow by will also cause leaks.
