Frozen Screen I have a 20 month old Lenovo 3000 T100 laptop. Right now, once I login to windows, the screen is frozen. I can see the desktop and move the cursor, etc, but if I double click on any icon, nothing happens. The Start menu or quick launch icons do not work either. If I try to rapidly double click, there is this loud beep (similar to the one I head if the battery is low). But.. everything works fine on Safe mode though. Any solutions anyone? Thanks
Aruis, thanks. But that was not the problem. Also, I made a mistake in giving you the mode. its actually Lenovo 3000 C200. Anyway, I still have the problem... It goes into the booting process to different levels at different times, and at some of the times it even throws a 'Server Busy' window, but does not let me click on the 'Switch to' or the 'Retry' button... I can click, but nothing happens. Does not even open the Task Manager to see if there is any application running, which possibly is taking up the CPU space...

run an anti virus and if that does not work go to the right of your screen and put in the search box your question, a solution should pop up .if not call the maker of your computer to see if they can help and since its under warranty they should help you for free. I called mine and since it was still under warranty they helped me!
your inverter card may have come loose from the connection -- or this could also be a result of bad connection with the LCD itself -- anoither possibility is bad video card
have you tried updating the Windows OS as well a sthe Lenovo drivers for video ?
How old is the laptop? You may have suffered one of two things? First of all, if the hard drive will not boot back up, even after using the recovery discs, then that would explain it powering off. I have seen this happen on old desktop hard drives.
Next, try to get the transformer or adapter tested. It may not be putting out enough amperage to run the laptop.
Dear pdtuladhar,
Just put your Installer CD on your optic drive (Windows XP?) and restart it. The CD should takes over the priority list of boot>>>
after you succeed, press esc and log in, save your file from C: drive and run the installation once again..
there is a problem of new hardware you installed, check it memory, graphic card and go to the safe mode and take you data from c: drive, and format your c drive and check it check that your drivers you are installed its supported for your windows, its a good solution that you have to format it and check it
Your display driver is the windows generic driver. You need the video driver from IBM for your model machine. Installing the correct driver will give you the higher resolution you seek.

Did you ever get this fixed? I have some ideas.
