Viewing panel I have a new Cybershot, (birthday present in May 06)and I have only used it on two occassions. However, I tried to use it a few days ago and came across a problem to wich I have yet to find a solution. Since, I turned the camera on the very first time everything has been set to the manufacture's suggestion and to automatic settings. This has never been changed! However, when I took a photo the other day the resulting image on the veiwing panel was so small I could not really see the photo. Yet, sometimes the photo turns out the size of the whole screen, which it has in the past and as I think it should be. Yet, it seems every other photo or so turns out too microscopic to view. As I said no settings had been change I just turned it on and aimed. I find nothing in the manual to alleviate this problem. Can you help?

Lies all lies!. first turn on your camera and check what resolution the images are set to record at. turn your camera to picture taking mode and press the trash button once. then you will see the available resolutions you can shoot at. i recomend 4M since it is the highet quality the cam supports. make sure it is on that and your images will always be super massive. the sony DSC-S40 is way to simple and cheap to have a complex menu like other cameras, so i do not see how your problem is possible unless you were shooting a VGA res(640x480) which is very small and only good for places like myspace. on your camera screen when trying to view a 640x480 picture, you would only beable to hit the zoom button maybe once or twice. you cannot zoom in far like the larger resolution images because there is nothing to zoom into. this is the whole point of high resolution pictures. to be hig res, which allows larger images to be shows with clearity. i hope i answered the quiestion.
