The unit has 2 intakes. one is used. what do i do with the other

Hi there my be a blockage at the bottom of the suction pipe. turn the hoover over so its laid flat ,You.ll be able to see were the pipe ends theres a piece plastic which you can press in ,push the clip in and it unclip pull out the plastic unit check for blockages you,ll also be able to see the brush bar.

I suspect the hoses are plugged with debris.

There are several filters on bag-less vacuums that need to be cleaned. Dig out your owners manual or open the one below. See section 3 for filters and maintenance. If you are vacuuming a house bigger than about 1500 square feet, you should be cleaning the filters every other use. Personally, after using a bagless for a couple of months, I went back to my bagged vacuum.

Is the air blowing out of the pick-up tube or out of the exhaust tube on the unit? I am assuming the pick-up tube. The installer has hooked your system up to the exhaust tube on the unit. Hook up to the intake on the unit instead.

the intake hos at the bottom might be clogged.first take all the filters out and disconnect the hos completely from the vacuum,then check and see if you have suction.the intake hose is the clear looking one at the bottom that wrapps itself up from the base to the backside of the upright.you can use a coat hanger to push out the clog if there is one just bend the tip till its rounded.work it down into the intake hose from the back.after removing the hose and the filters you should have suction.just make sure all the filters get cleaned .you can blow out the hose with a garden hose

I think this unit has a utility valve on the front. If so, do you have good suction at this valve? If not, disconnect the inlet piping and check the suction directly from the inlet. Make sure the utility valve is closed while checking the suction on the inlet. If you have good suction, you have an open pipe or valve somewhere in the house. If you have any vacpans, check these first. Next, turn the unit on and walk through the house and listen for air whistling. If you do not have good suction from the inlet at the unit with the utility valve closed, replace your bag and look for a secondary filter that may be plugged. Good Luck!

have u checked all of the filters. I know that when not all the filters r clean the machine will turn on but then it will sound louder and still have no suction. Most times there is a filter under dirt container thats sits above motor and if this filter is not clean the motor cannot breath. Thus no suction

Is there suction where the pipe hooks to the cannister? If so, then are all of the outlets without suction? Maybe the hose is plugged. If the hose is ok, and there is suction at the cannister, then **** up a small **** of paper, one for each room outlet, have a number on each piece of paper, Which ever one doesn't ,ake it thru to the cannasiter is the outlet that is plugged. You can use a plumbers snake to clean out a clogged outlet or even a clogged hose.

If the motors are running and sound ok, then there has to be suction at the outlet on the cannister. If the filter bag is old, it may be best to replace it with a new one.

I work on many types of units. If you electric floor brush runs but you have no suction then there is possibly a problem with the relay board that allows you to turn on the suction from the hose handle. This is a low voltage (24 V) switching loop circuit that will cause the 120 V motor in the unit to run.

Inside the wall valve are two brass pins. NOTE: there are 120V valves installed on some systems known as a Super Valve. A shock hazared exists if you work on that type of valve. That being said. In the round portion of the valve you can use a garage hose that has a 360 deg. chrome ring to test the valve. The ring completes the circuit causing the unit to power up and suction at the end of the hose. If the suction is weak, there is a colg in the pipe. If you hear no airflow, the relay inside the unit did not energize or the motor is bad.

To test: go to the unit and turn the switch on the side to "manual" if the unit turns on the motor should be ok. DO NOT RUN THE UNIT without and open valve. In some brands dammage to your motor will occure.

If the unit did not run, look for a small button near the switch. This is a circuit breaker for the motor. If it is poped out and you hear a "click" when you press it in there is most likely motor problems and someone should be contacted for repair.

as the hose fits into the base (if i am correct) the power at the base should be fine, make sure the base is clean and free from blockage, you say the brush doesn't spin, has the belt broken, if so replace it, (very cheap) and only a couple of screws to undo, the roller not rotating will effect the power of suction dramatically, start from there and see how you go if i have helped please rate me
