Singer 2732 I have had the singer 2732 for a couple of years and am just now really using it. It has never really worked great and now when i sew it sounds like the needle is hitting something so i took the plate off and the bobbin out and when i manually move the needle it is hitting the metal thing that turns underneathe the bobbin! I am ready to throw it out. Could it be the timing and how can i fix this? Hopefully without bringing it in.

Hi, actually I can help with your problem but maybe you can help me with mine. A friend gave me the same model...without the instructions. Would you be willing to give me a pdf scan or photocopy of the manual, please? Let me know at [email protected]. Thanks!

SOURCE: I HAVE A SINGER SEWING MACHINE MODEL 2732 AND NEED

When threading your needle make sure you pull enough thread through...a good 4 inches will do..hold the end of the thread and turn your hand wheel by hand until needle comes back up...you should have a loop around your upper thread ...pull this loop out towards you..you should now have two threads..cut threads till about 2 inches and make sure you position threads through the center of your sewing foot and towards the back of your machine. Good Luck

I have a Singer 2732. I did not use for a couple years and I do not have the manual. The thread will NOT stay on the Arm. It will sew for a bit and then it falls off. I am wondering if I am threading it...

http://www.singerco.com/resources/threading.html, this will tell you how to thread. I am thinking that you do not have the cap that you put over the thread spool to stop it from falling off. Until you can get one, how about taking the top of an empty pill bottle and making a hole in the center and sliding it on the spool pin. Then call Singer at 1-800-4singer and order the real thing, you can also ask them questions on operating the machine. It looks like they do not have a manual for your model for free, it is $15.

I am new to the sewing world but i really enjoy it greatly! My Mother-In-Law bought this model for me for my birthday, second hand which did not come with a manual. Well, it is popping and i can't seem to...

You can call Singer at 1-800-4singer and ask them about the popping sound, but I am wondering if you need to replace the needle. You can download your manual for $10 at www.sewingmanuals.com or order one right from www.singerco.com a hardcopy for $15 plus tax and shipping. I kind of favor the download for $10 because you can print it and save it, then enlarge diagrams on the computer, and get it right away plus no shipping.. And the biggest bonus you can't misplace it. Normally, Singer lets you download one for free, but your model does not have the free download. The Singer site has some free projects for you to try. Good luck and happy sewing,

SINGER 2732 Who knows what is wrong!!!

take to service tech, they can set it to work, and when you replace it don't buy from somewhere you can't get a real person to show you operation, all machines work a bit differently, a little training goes a long way toward hassle free sewing

Singer 2732

You can go here, search 2732, and purchase an instruction manual for your machine, if you have misplaced the one that came with it. It looks like they're like $15. https://www.singerco.com/accessories/manuals.html

Also, Singer has just installed new Q&A features on their website. You can go here: http://new.singerco.com/products and look for your particular model. At the bottom of the product page, you can post Questions for singer experts and other community members to answer!

Good luck!
