try changing ur message center number using someone else's phone n then put ur sim back in ur own phone.atleast dis worked for me.i hope it works for u too.:)
The message settings on your mobile are not correct.
You have to reset your MESSAGE CENTRE NUMBER
Message centre number is provided by the Service Provider
Call your Service Provider and ask them about MESSAGE CENTRE NUMBER
Then when they give it to you ,go to your mobile messages then to message settings then to
text messages, then to MESSAGE CENTRE NUMBER,and put the number wich they gave you there.
And save and exit.
I had got a similar problem. I gave my cell to Sony Service centre. They installed new OS and gave to me. This problem was solved but lot of other problems started like Out of Memory, automatic phone restarts, and many more.
Well with the phone turned
off, press
and hold
the VOLUME UP
and VOLUME DOWN
buttons, then press
the
END/POWER
button shortly
and release it. You will then see a message
on the screen asking if you're sure about resetting it. If so press the VOLUME UP key. It should boot shortly after that. Goodluck!
well they could have gave you a messed up phone. the best thing to do is to take it back to them and tell them what is going on, most likely they would give you a new phone
When I got my phone, it had the same problem. Check the message center number and see what it is. You can access this my selecting "messaging", then "message settings" and "text message". You will see an option for message center number. Select it and it will show the number for your routing tower. I am not sure what yours is, but mine is +13123149810. This is the number the AT&T help line gave me...
I is brand new
