I would use a good used control Box which would work just as well as brand new one if one could be found as it only plugs into the back and fastens with some screws on the bottom side of the arm

Before you change to new control box, try to go to power chair service garage who have PP1 a programmable controller. So they can find a trouble code that occur on your controller.

I have a Jet 3 Ultra power chair. It stopped going and I decided to see if the bgatteries were in good shape. one of them showed apox. 13 volts, but the rear one only aprox. 6 volts. Looking at the charger meter I did not see any signal of a charge with the chair connected to the 127; volts at the wall. The only thing that works, faintly, is the whistle and the control lights.

Any ideas? Thanks

  1. Make sure the batteries are wired properly—refer to the battery wiring diagram located on the power base.
  2. Make sure the connections on the battery terminals are tight and secure.
  3. Make sure the main circuit breaker has not tripped—push in the main circuit breaker reset button.
  4. Make sure the controller is completely connected to the power base.

You can order replacement parts here:
Jet 3 Ultra Power Wheelchair from US Medical Supplies
Contact them by phone for price and availability if parts are not listed on website.

If this seller does not have the part, let me know, I will give you more contacts.

If the joystick is defective, it means that the contacts on the joystic board are gone, it is not worth repairing, replace the whole part.
The seller that I posted at (800) 794-9813 should have the replacement control, and probably at less than factory price, however you can also give a call to pride mobility, and ask a replacement control from them. Here is the number 1.800.800.8586 , and the web page.

What is the fix for Pride power chair code 3101 bridge voltage fault?

The fix for this fault is to replace the chip in the VSI controller. This happens when you consistently drive the power chair with weak or low voltage batteries.

How do you increase the speed in Jet3 power chair

I take it you are talking about increasing the maximum speed beyond the maximum the chair is set for now! the max listed speed for the jet 3 is 4mps, so if your chair is doing that there is only changing a load of hardware to increase speed past that (it is very costly) if your chair is second hand it may be that the chairs programming has been changed to reduce the max speed say for in-door use or for elderly with slow reactions to better control the chair, if that is the case it depends on the controller you have it would need a programmer box, you can buy these on ebay and the like or you could take it to a mobility shop and see if they will change it, a lot of these shops will offer to do it free to try and get your future custom, it only takes a couple of mins, most will just plug in to the charge / data port on the controller, select from the menu and adjust the speed etc. hope that helps.

Joystick error code 7 flashing lights, 3green 3orange 1red

Check and see if the charger is still plugged in when you have this fault. Usually a 7 light flash is a controller fault. Sometimes it will also mean you have one or both motors disengaged. If the charger is not plugged in when you have this fault then try and push the chair. If it moves freely then you need to engage the motors. If you have to engage the motors you will have to power down the chair and power it back up to clear the fault. If this does not work you will need to contact a technician to troubleshoot the root cause.

Turn power on the light flashes & the joy stick does not work. what can be repaired?

The number of lights that are flashing can indicate what the problem is. Refer to your owner's manual for troubleshooting tips. You can also visit this website:
http://www.pgdt.com/scenter/diagnostics/diagvsi.html
Locate the type of controller that is on your scooter to determine what the lights mean. You will not be able to operate the power chair until the problem is cleared.
Good luck!

Hello , The Lights where the control stick is ( Battery meter ) keep going up and down at a fast pace the chair has been charged , but will not move . any suggestions?

It sounds like you may have to reset or unlock the controller system. Take a look at this website to find the model of controller for your power chair, then consult your owner's manual for reset and/or unlock procedures.
