Have you tried using a known Good power Adapter and see if the unit will power ON?
-First remove the power adapter, then press and hold down the power button for at least 10-15 seconds just to drain any power left in the main board. -after doing the power drain, reconnect the power adapter and power the system ON again see if it will power. - if the unit will still not power using a Known good power adapter and you also did the power drain then the problem is most likely to be the power port where the adapter connects to is not relaying any power to the main board of the unit or the main board of the unit is not distributing power properly on the machine to have it power ON. wither way you will have to go and have the unit checked if that is the case.
NOTE: try a known Good Power Adapter first, if that fails you can disregard the other Troubleshooting steps and go have the unit checked to avoid any fuzz...

Start simple. If there's no power to your Wii, check that the AC adaptor is firmly connected both to the game console and a live electrical outlet. If you still have no power, or the power LED light goes off in midgame or flickers, try rebooting the system. Turn everything off, unplug the AC adaptor from the electrical outlet, wait at least 60 seconds and then plug in again and turn the system on.
If this does not help you may need a new power supply. Also try cleaning the wii.Use a can of ampressed air to blow out any dirt or dust from unit.Pay attention to fan area.Be sure fan spins free.
First, I would check the batteries in the Wii Remote. Low batteries will make the Wii Remote signal flicker. After that, I would re-sync the Wii remote by opening the back of the remote and pressing the sync button, after you turn the Wii on, of course.
If your Wii does not actually turn on, as in you could see it on the TV if you had your TV on, then you either got a message on your message board from Nintendo informing you about new Channels, Updates, etc, if it flashes slowly, then gives 2 quick flickers then it is a system update.
Hope this answers your question! ~Flascher
