OKI C5100 Getting small ink blops in various places on my printouts. One in particular is blue ink and the same weird blop shape on every page. How do I get this cleaned up? Afraid to touch anything.
Hello, u can try to clean the drum where u place the blue toner, u can use some cotton, but this isn´t a normal procedure probably u will need to replace the drum (blue).

There is no reference to your problem in the C5100 Service manual. I have 17 years experience on OKI printers and never heard of this error. it must be specific to a program you are using. try printing the windows test page and if that is ok consult the people who made the program as that's where the trouble must lay.

You have to determine if the drum cartridge or the fuser is the problem. Do a panic stop before the paper hits the fuser and see if it has the residual image. If it is clean then the fuser is the problem.
This sounds like a DC feedback problem in the power amp. Check all the resistors R86 through R96. Verify that capacitor C80 is healthy. The right tool to solve this is an oscilloscope.
Try this
Remove the front cover just pull on it slightly and it will come off it is only held there by tape. Remove the 4 screws on the back of the LCD screen and you will get to the circuit board remove flat cable make sure you mark it so you put it back on right. On the board there will be a small fuse it is maked F on the fuse and F1 next to fuse it is located next to the biggest black flat circuit. it is hard to see but is there. You can solder a small wire across this or put a blop of solder across it but be carefull to not get solder on anthing else. put your display back in and it should work fine.
I need to know if the test page that the unit prints as "Demo Page" comes out fine. If this is the case, your problem is within your application (software) or computer connection (check all cables). If this is NOT the case, I'll need to know more about your scenario. Operating system, type of connection (USB, parallel) and what are you trying to print. I'll be waiting.
