I'm sorry that the Wii is not generating sound through TV. Please follow the below troubleshooting steps and check the operations.

  1. check that all your audio connections are securely in place.
  2. Use a Y-connector, if you have a mono TV or VCR, to receive all the stereo sound from your Wii games.
  3. check your game manual: with some games, there's no sound until the game begins, or you need to adjust sound volume on your Wii-mote or other input device.

Thanks for understanding. Please let me know if the issue persists.

Wii is 2 years old just got new tv set wii up and wii has no colour/sound. Colour is grainy black and white and sound only comes out of the wii remote.

please check your cables and make sure that they are on the right ports. simple solution. nothing wrong with your wii. New Tv can be a little confusing. remember just keep your wii on and test the ports till you get the right ones. If other devices are working such as dvd player then you need to replace the cables

No sound on wii

Hello :

1: Make sure you have the volume on the TV turned up and the audio-video connections plugged into the same-colour plugs. Sound only kicks-in once you are at the Wii menu. If this doesn't work, continue to step 2.

2. Test the Wii with another TV. If you have sound there, then it is possible that the HDTV's sound inputs plugs are damaged. Send your HDTV off for repairs.

3. If the Wii does not work with the other TV, then it is likely that the audio cables are damaged. Order a replacement from Nintendo (instructions are in the Wii user's guide)

good luck .

No sound for wii sports

Hi friend,
try this:

a). Make sure you have the volume on the TV turned up and the audio-video connections plugged into the same-colour plugs. Sound only kicks-in once you are at the Wii menu. If this doesn't work, continue to step b.

b). Test the Wii with another TV. If you have sound there, then it is possible that the HDTV's sound inputs plugs are damaged. Send your HDTV off for repairs.

c). If the Wii does not work with the other TV, then it is likely that the audio cables are damaged. Order a replacement from Nintendo (instructions are in the Wii user's guide),

I hope this will help you out.
Please vote for me thanks in advance.

When I turn the Wii on it makes no sound

Check to see if the audio cables from the Wii to the TV might have come loose or unplugged.

If you have a friend with a Wii, see if their cable connecting the Wii to the TV works. Your cable might have gone bad.

WII audio and TV audio simultaneously

do you have surround sound, if you do you will need to plug the wii hookups into the surround sound, or plug it into the tv and shut the surround sound off.

Sound on wii fit game

I have sound on my TV for normal operation when the FIT is in use and some vibration, sound effects, and comments during certain activities/games. You should hear speech (i.e yoga) or music and sound effects (i.e. balance games) throughout the session. If you hear sounds when your WII is on the channel screen it should work during a WII Fit session. Check the Nintendo Forums or contact Nintendo to see what may be defective.
