Dear, Connect your headset properly and try connecting to FM. In sonyericsson, headset connector pin makes problem usually. So press it tightly and check whether your profile gets changed to Hand's free. Then your FM will work !!

Yes. Just the same as a computer can if you are not careful what you download. Only download items from websites you trust, and ideally download them to a computer, check for viruses, then transfer the file to the phone.

Check page 56/57 - "internet security" - there is basically a built in security function, just check it is on.
Later models have anti virus software that can be added and used in the same way as a computer AV software, but it appears there is none for the 550, so apparently the built in internet security function works well.
