If the red haze is not convergence---that requires parts.
The set has three picture tubes---with set unplugged and back cover removed clean the three large lens that are topside---as for the red haze a quick way to know what is wrong is with set on turn the color to zero----what color is the screen? Should be black and white--if red to some degree tracking or screen controls may need adjusting inside the set---Yellow picture in that situation is a different issue.
Extremely blue color temperature that
cannot be adjusted; some false-contouring artifacts in dark scenes; no
picture-in-picture; limited connectivity with just one DVI and no HDMI
inputs. If use as a TV monitor: The number of colors you can display is controlled by the video card
installed in your computer. In order to display more than 16 colors,
the proper video card driver must be installed. Contact your computer
or video card manufacturer to obtain the latest driver from them. If you are watching standard-definition or Cable/RF signal on an HDTV,
the picture may appear to be of poor quality. This is because the TV is
designed for viewing HD or at least digital content. Your best bet would
be to upgrade to a Dish Network HD receiver and connect it to the TV
with an HDMI cable. Similarly inputting analog signal to TV from your
DVD player will not appear to be of great quality. A newer DVD player
would most likely have component video output which would look much
better. To get even greater quality, an upconverting DVD player
connected with an HDMI cable would look the best. You could also upgrade
to a Blu-ray disc player, which is capable of playing HD Blu-ray discs
as well as DVD's at higher resolution. A less expensive choice could
also be a streaming media box.
Hierarchy of inputs for good picture quality:
I found the solution on mine. To restate, I just saw a thin white border around a black screen. Pressing the channel up or down buttons changed the screen, in some kind of test mode to shades of gray, and red, green, and blue. I started finding a solution when I noticed when on one of the color screens, that the volume up or down buttons brought up a new menu for color intensity. Finally, I got back to the thin white border screen and pressed the arrow keys in the top half of the remote. Finally a TV screen and I pressed the enter key! Voila!
Hi,If you are getting a black and white picture, color discoloration or
a humming high pitch sound, it will be an issue with the color
wheel. The color wheel is a rotating disc that spins at high rpm and its
in charge of creating the colors on your set. You can replace it
your self here's an example: http://guides.fixyourdlp.com/samsu/bp96-01579a.php
Good luck and God bless you!
Electronic shutter in lens mechanism got bad and you need to replace complete lens assembly of DSC-S500 camera.
Of course new lens assembly would cost more then camera worth so best option is to buy new camera.

Hi, I hope your TV model is Sony KV-G21M1 and you see color bars as horizontal lines across the screen. Let me now are you tech guy or know how to repair TV to guide you further.
Check settings first to make sure no one changed anything out of the ordinary. Are the shadows that of a color or darkened shadow? It could be out of convergence, which can be corrected in the menu - or it could be low quality video cables to. Also, if there is no green, does a white color show up when you're in a menu mode (Red+Blue+Green = White Image)? If so, then the green picture tube is working and it's just a color adjustment, otherwise you may have to invest in a new green picture tube.
TRY ADJUSTING THE SCREEN CONTROL ADJUSTMENT AT THE BOTTOM OF THE FLYBACK TRANSFORMER.THIS SHOULD REMOVE THE RETRACE LINES AND ANJUST THE HASY LOOK TO THE PICTURE IF NOT YOU HAVE A BAD CAP IN THE SCREEN CIRCUIT .LOOK FOR A 10MFD/250V CAP IF FEEDS THE NECK BOARD ATTACHED TO THE PICTURE TUBE 200V DC.
