Can't remove spray head

It says to turn the spray head a quarter turn counterclockwise with your fingertips. I have tried everything, even plier, and can't get it off.

There is a little tab on the side of the spray head that catches on a tab of the coffee maker, it is easier to empty the tank and turn the coffee maker upside down so you can see the liitle tab and place a small screwdriver or knive blade against the tab while turning the sprayhead until it is over the tab and off it comes.

I'm working on replacing my multifunction switch on my 1999 Chevy Suburban 5.7Ls and when I went to loosen the side battery cables the bolts are tight to where the bolt head is stripping

  1. Use a penetrating oil: Apply a penetrating oil like PB Blaster, Liquid Wrench or WD-40 to the bolt and let it sit for a few hours. The oil can help to loosen the corrosion and rust that is likely causing the bolt to be stuck.
  2. Use a different wrench or socket: If the wrench or socket you are using is slipping on the bolt head, try using a different size wrench or socket that fits more securely.
  3. Use a bolt extractor: A bolt extractor is a special tool that can be used to remove stripped bolts. It works by gripping the bolt from the inside and turning it counterclockwise. You can find bolt extractors at most auto parts stores.
  4. Use pliers or vice grips: If the bolt head is completely stripped, you can try using pliers or vice grips to grab onto the bolt head and turn it counterclockwise. Be careful not to damage the battery terminal while doing this.
  5. Heat the bolt: If the bolt is rusted or corroded, heating it up with a propane torch or a heat gun can help to loosen it. Be careful not to overheat the battery terminal or the surrounding area.

How do I remove the spray head from the hose? I have turned clockwise and counterclockwise, it just spins

Have you tried pressing down on the spray hose, turning it either way while pressure applied to spray head (pushing it down towards hose)? (like a childproof pill bottle)

How to remove,replace,front right headlight, 200' rav-4 ?

Headlight bulbs are easily replaced. At the back of the headlight assembly, under the hood, find the electrical connector and turn it counterclockwise a quarter turn, then pull out the connector and attached bulb. Remove the old bulb, and replace with your new bulb. Do not touch the glass part of bulb with your hands or fingertips- it will shorten bulb life. Put the new bulb back into place and turn it clockwise to secure it..

Franke Kitchen Spray Head Part # 4089. Lever on top moves it from stream to spray While on Stream Spray is leaking.... Tried changing washers 1st...then tried new aerotors... still leaking

I have the same problem. By taking off both aerators, I can see that the rubber ring inside the spray head partially disintegrated. Little pieces of rubber even fell out. I can remove the spray head (it twists off; I used a pliers and rubber gloves) but I can't take it apart and even if I did, I don't know if I could replace the rubber ring.

I cannot tell how the 2 bulbs (surface light(s)) detach. One of them broke when I was trying to remove after it had burned out, and the glass part of the other bulb turns freely and is very loose and...

Unplug the microwave oven and get a needlenose plier and a flashlight. Wear some hand protection since you are working with broken glass.

Most of the bulbs I have seen are screw thread mounts.

For the bulb with the broken glass, use the needlenose plier and try to find the screw thread for the bulb. It should be screwed in to the lamp socket of the microwave. Carefully grab a hold of the outer edge of the bulbs screw thread and turn it counterclockwise to loosen it from the base. You may only be able to turn it a quarter turn before letting go of the bulb's thread and getting a grip on a new position to continue turning. Inch your way to remove the broken bulb's thread.

If the other bulb still lights up, I'd leave it alone.

If it's the one I'm thinking, you unscrew that chrome or whatever sleeve,(counterclockwise), then remove "U" shaped retainer (from top of cartridge, pointing downward) that holds cartridge in, then use removal tool (usually nylon) to turn cartridge quarter turn, which causes it to ride on shoulder and it pulls/pushes itself out at same time, then with a good pair of pliers, or channel locks, pull straight out from there. Make sure you pay attention to markings on cartridge so that new, or it goes back in same way. Real easy to be 180 degrees out, and everything works backwards.

Hi, In the center of the spray arm is a threaded piece of plastic/bolt.
Use pliers and turn that tab on the bolt. If it doesn't turn easy. Holt the bolt and try to turn the spray arm with you hand.
It will release the spray arm so you can remove it.
Please let me know if I can assist you further.

Is it difficult to instal a new shower head?

It requires a piper wrench or chanel lock pliers. If you are able to unscrew the old one,you wil have no problem screwing on the new one. Use teflon tape on the male threads when installing the new one. You can even screw it on by hand only needs to be tight enough that it does not leak . It unscrews counterclockwise looking at the end of the spray head.
