Can't input symbol beside quotation on keyboard

Which symbol is by the quotation marks? In most cases it's the down arrow, which is just the return key, and not a symbol you can input.

If you're on a laptop that is below 15.6", quite often there is a 10-key involved. Make sure that you don't have a "Fn Lock" key enabled that would prioritize the secondary keys.

HOW TO COUNT THE OCCURRENCES OF A TEXT STRING

In the cell that you want the result to appear in, enter the appropriate formula from the following examples.
How to Count the Occurrences of a Number
Use this formula
=SUM(IF(range=number,1,0))
where range is the range that you want to search, and number is the number that you want to count.
NOTE: This formula must be entered as an array formula. To enter an array formula, press CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER.
How to Count the Occurrences of a Text String
Method 1
Use this formula
=SUM(IF(range="text",1,0))
where range is the range that you want to search, and text is the text that you want to find (the text must be enclosed in quotation marks).
NOTE: The above formula must be entered as an array formula. To enter an array formula, press CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER.
Method 2
Use the COUNTIF() function to count the occurrences of a text string. For example, use the formula
=COUNTIF(range,"text")
where range is the range of cells that you are evaluating, and text is the text string that you want to count instances of (note that text must be enclosed in quotation marks).
NOTE: This formula must be entered as an array formula. To enter an array formula, press CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER.
Wildcard characters can be used within the COUNTIF function.
The asterisk character (*) represents more than one character. For example, to count all the cells in the range a1:a10 that contain an "x," you can use the following formula:
=COUNTIF(a1:a10,"*x*")
The question mark character (?) can also be used to represent one wildcard character -- for example, to count all cells in the range whose second character is the letter, such as "ax" or "bx."
=COUNTIF(a1:a10,"?x*")

Hey, how do you enter minutes into a TI-84? (I'm doing problems with degrees, and one has minutes added onto the degrees)

The notation for minute is a single quotation, ' . To access this symbol, press the 2nd key, then the Angle key. The single quotation mark is the second option on the menu that comes up after pressing 2nd+Angle.

How do i do the symbol @ on a samsung n150-jp04 netbook?

it is normally "shift" "2" but there have been reported some problems with the keyboards being messed up, moving the @ sign to the " (quotation mark) try pressing "shift" "quote" mark and see if that's where it is hiding. if it is I would contact Samsung and get my money back or at least a replacement computer.

When I strike the apostrophe, quotation marks (or double appostrophe)appear. When I Shift + apostrophe, double quotations appear. Same thing happens with the tilde key. So far just these 2 keys...

Sounds like a defective keyboard. I seen issues when pressing a button it will trigger another key to be pushed or nothign displays at all. Try replacing keyboard since they are relatively cheap. othersie maybe a software issue

How do i calculate cos 30°24'

You must first set angle unit to degree.
Press the [MODE] key a certain number of times until you get to a screen that displays Deg Rad Grad. Press number key 1 to select degree.
Once this is done you can calculate trigonometric functions. To enter angles in DMS you have a key marked with degree symbol, a quotation mark, and a double quotation mark. In what follows that key is represented as DMS.

To calculate cos(30 deg 24')
[COS] 30 [DMS] 24[DMS] [=]

If you get an error message you will have to enter the seconds even if the value is 0
[COS] 30 [DMS] 24[DMS] 0 [DMS] [=]
