Top shelf items dirtier after cleaning

I have been putting glasses and coffee cups on the top shelf and plates and maybe a pan on the bottom shelf with utensils. The pan is turned upside down so no residue will carry onto the top shelf. However after a wash on any cycle there are brown specs of what can best be described as looking just like dirt stuck all over my glasses and coffee cups while the dishes on the bottom shelf are clean. I've tried changing the position of the items on the bottom shelf as well as rinsing the items on the bottom shelf but I keep getting the same brown dirt like specs. Any suggestions as to where this is coming from and how I can prevent not being able to put anything on the top shelf?

I hae the same issue at the moment and have found that the seal behind the top drawer (top drawer fits into it to allow water to get to the wash arm attached to the under side of the top drawer) has warn through due to poor fitting. May be worth checking that out. I am trying to find somewhere to get this from at the moment.

After some experience with our own fdw60 with the same problem, we now put all pots and pans on the top rack. Putting them on the bottm appears to stop the clean water rinse reaching the top rack. All washes since have been ok.

My dishwasher wont clean on the right side

i had same problem until I learned to place certain items on that side. if I put anything on the bottom that blocks the right side it will not clean. I can only place cups and glasses on the right side. plates on the bottom right side also. now if yours has a top arm and is not cleaning then you might need a tech. but i regret purchasing this machine. i hate doing it this way. maybe yours cleans like mine.

Glasses and frying pans not clean at end of cycle. Residue on glasses and cups, food particles on frying pans.

it's generally not a good idea to put really greasy items in a dishwasher along with relatively clean items such as glassware and plates and cutlery, as most recent good quality dishwashers come with a soil sensor that ends the wash cycle once the dishes appear clean, and all the grease from your frying pan will cause the soil sensor to take longer to detect clean water.

The water isn't fully coming out when brewing a cup of coffee and won't fill the cup. I am maybe getting 1/4 cup of coffee

Hello,

what you will have to do to solve this problem is that you will have to do self cleaning on the coffee maker

however, (not the bathroom one) is a handy item to use to clean coffee residue off the inside of a glass coffee carafe.
  • Does your pot have hard to reach areas? Use a wooden chopstick with a paper towel to get in there.
  • You can put ice cubes and a little water(enough so you can swirl it around) in pot and swirl them around, for harder stains put some table salt in pot and swirl it around for a few minutes and then rinse.
  • Put a glass marble in the water chamber to attract mineral deposits from hard water. Wash it once a week.
  • For tough stains, scrub the pot using a paper towel or clean (not soapy) dish towel. Rinse thoroughly.
  • To clean just the pot, do what many restaurants do. Put about two cups of ice, 1/4 cup of rock or table salt, and 1/4 cup of lemon juice (bottled or fresh is fine) and swirl around the pot. Measurements are not that important, just guesstimate. Be sure that the pot is cold before you try this, or you may break the glass pot.
  • Clean a brand new coffee pot prior to using it for the first time.
  • Never use the coffee pot to pour water into the reservoir. This will transfer oils and impurities from the pot, and eventually give the coffee a nasty taste. Instead, use a pitcher that is reserved for water only.
  • To keep the inside area around basket, filter, lid area clean (from coffee ground spatter) simply place a SECOND filter over the top of the grounds in the FIRST filter. Push second filter down so that spout will clear top of second filter (on many makes of coffee makers) as lid is closed. This keeps interior in pristine condition and doesn't take much time or expense.
Thanks for visiting our site good luck.

Check the spray arms are not clogged as well as the top one take off the bottom one clear a hole underneath the arm. make sure the arms can turn freely. dishwasher fresheners hanging on the basket can stop the arm turning. clean the filter in the bottom. Is the machine heating it should be hot at the prog end.

Hi, it sounds like your dishwasher is plugged up with soap deposits, and/or Calcium deposits.
In an empty dishwasher, put 2 cereal/soup bowls full of vinegar on bottom shelf, and run your dishwasher.
This should clean out all the deposits.
I do this about once every six weeks as our water is very hard.

How do you make coffee in cafetiere 6 cups

You grind the beans quite fine

Pull up the knob on the lid till it pulls out of the top and the filter out of the glass container.

Put enough of the the ground coffee for six cups into the glass container , pour on boiling water till it reaches about one inch from the top

Put the top back on a push the knob slightly down to locate it in the top of the glass container

Give the water a few minutes to work on the beans and then gently push the knob all the way down so that the filter goes to the bottom og the glass container taking the grounds with it

Pour the coffee

Enjoy!!

Glasses come out dirtier than they went in to the dishwasher but other items clean OK

Remove all dishes and throw two cups of vinegar into your machine then run the complete pot scrubber cycle with the hottest water you can.

Always run the hot water into the sink until it is totally hot before you run your dishwasher.

Revere Ware old fashioned coffee pot

1) Boil the water you’ll need in another pot.
2) Put 1 tablespoon of ground coffee (drip grind, not percolator grind) in the reduced diameter, perforated bottom of the brewing chamber.
3) Put the grind/water separator (the perforated, flat handled plate with cup markings on the handle) in the Brewing Chamber, over the coffee grounds.
3) Put the Brewing Chamber on top of the Holding Chamber.
4) Pour the appropriate number of cups boiling water into the brewing chamber; put the lid with the black knob on the brewing chamber.
5) Let the water drain through the coffee grinds (5-10 minutes).
6) Remove Brewing Chamber, clean out the coffee grounds, and replace the lid on the holding chamber.
7) Enjoy your coffee! Keep it warm on the stove at LOW heat setting.
