F35 ERROR IN DIAGNOSTIC TEST C:00 I have been getting the same F35/Suds error as previous posters. When I enter the diagnostic test only, I can successfully get through all diagnostics. The first time. Tellingmachine (http://www.tellingmachine.com/post/Fixing-Sud-and-F35-errors-on-my-Whirlpool-WFW9600TW01-Washer.aspx) suggested running the diagnostics more than once. The second time I got to C:00 and then got an F35 error again. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. We're on the verge of tossing the 1-year old washer and dryer and getting new ones.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

F35 error means that there is some sort of issue with the steamer electronic board and analog pressure sensor has gone bad. Check that the hose is firmly attached with the washer and is not blocked. You can also check the water level pressure switch operation. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

I had this error a couple of times too. The first time I encountered it I got a "SUDS" error and a few minutes later F35. I replaced the pressure switch and it worked great. I recently had the exact same symptoms. I replaced the pressure switch again, no change. Ordered another switch (in case the first new one was bad) - no luck. Ended up having to replace the master control unit. I now have two of the pressure switches and am selling them on eBay at a substantial discount. Go to: eBay Link
-or-
Go to eBay and search for the part number (W10415587). Mine is listed for $50 or $65 instant buy.

What does error F35 mean?

It helps to have FULL make and model in such questions, but here are a few ideas

The F35 error code indicates an analog pressure sensor error. The analog pressure sensor is the component that detects water level in the washer tub. This error can usually be cleared but it will occur again if the main control board still detects a problem with the signal from the analog pressure sensor.

WHIRLPOOL DUET WASHER MODEL #WFW9600TW01 F-35 & F-28 ERROR

The F35 indicates a water level pressure sensor failure. A loose wire harness connection could be causing this problem if there is no water or suds in the tub. I recommend unplugging the washer and removing the top panel. Screws at the very back of the top panel secure it to the washer frame. Remove the screws and then pull the top panel slightly back and then up and off of the washer. The analog water level pressure sensor is shown in the first image below. The second image shows a clear picture of this component. Check the wire harness connection on this sensor. If you find a loose connection, secure the wire harness properly on the component then reassemble and test the washer. If you continue to get the F35 code, then the pressure switch will need to be replaced. I hope this helps.

Suds and then f35 error code shortly afterbstarting any wash cycle.

SUDS error = SUDS LOCK (OVERDOSE OF DETERGENT
DETECTED DURING THE WASH CYCLE)
If suds are detected continuously by the pressure switch during the drain or spin phases, the washer will fill 4 liters of water and during 5 minutes the unit will rest without tumbling, the water will be drained
and it will try to spin or drain again.

If too much detergent was used:
- Run the unit through a RINSE/SPIN cycle.
- Run a NORMAL cycle without adding any detergent.
This should clear the unit of the excess detergent.
1. Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.
2. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
3. Check wire harness connections to the drain pump, pressure switch, and Central Control Unit (CCU).
4. Check/clean drain pump filter of foreign objects.
5. Plug in washer or reconnect power.
6. Check drain pump.
7. Check the pressure switch.
8. Verify CCU operation by running a Diagnostic Test or any cycle.

F35 error = ANALOG PRESSURE SENSOR FAILURE
If this failure is displayed, there is any malfunction of the steamer component detected by the Steamer Electronic Board.

1. Check if pressure hose is fi xed correctly.
2. Check if the airtrap is not blocked.
3. Check if the hose is not blocked.

I have a whirlpool WFW9600TW01 front load washer. It is giving F35 and SUD error codes. I have cleaned the drain pump and lines, cleaned the dispenser, flow regulator and hoses, took out and cleaned the...

Hi dear.I may have solution for the SUD error. You can give it a go.But I do not know any thing about F35 one
The motor control unit senses a suds lock condition by analyzing the current draw on the drive motor. If “Sud” is displayed a potential suds lock is detected. This may signify a bad pump, an extra heavy load, excessive detergent, or excessive suds.

Potential Causes

• If too much detergent was used, run the unit through a Rinse/ Spin cycle then a
Normal cycle without adding any detergent. This should clear the unit of the excess detergent.
• Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked
• Check Wire Harness connections to the Drain Pump, Pressure Switch, and Central Control Unit (CCU)
• Check / Clean Drain Pump Filter of foreign objects
• Check Drain Pump
• Check the Pressure Switch
• Check CCU

Replace failed component.

As it says run couple of rine cycles it should get back to normal.I hope that helps you.Thanks.

Whirlpool duet wfw9600ta01 with the common "suds/F35" error code. Yes......we've been using the right soap. suds starts one minute into cycle followed by the F35 code immediately after the suds cycle...

WARNING: THIS WRITE-UP IS COMPLETELY MY OPINION BASED ON MY EXPERIMENTATION WITH THE EQUIPMENT. TRY ANY OF IT AT YOUR OWN RISK. YOU WILL BE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL THE CONSEQUENCES (GOOD OR BAD EITHER WAY) THAT YOU MAY REAP FROM THE MACHINE YOU WORK ON.

I made the biggest mistake of taking the whirpool WFW9600TA01 from US to India - I had been totally frustrated with the SUDS/F35 issue, absolutely as explained in the question above.

I started as a novice but feel very confident to write this solution now. There are several areas that could cause this problem. Fundamentally, as the water fills the tub, the pressure form the pressure switch is sensed. If the value is not in line with what is programmed, you get this error. This deviation in pressure value can be caused by any of the below reasons.

First and foremost thing I would do is remove (disassemble - note very carefully the assembly and the position before disassembling. You will need to reassemble in the exact same way in the exact same position) and clean all the pipes, hoses and connectors

Details:

The problem could occur because of:

1. True suds formation due to wrong soap usage (pretty often the problem) - Solution for this? - use a lot of vinegar and a few "risnse and spin" cycles with out any clothes in the washer

2. The pressure switch could have gone bad. Solution - replace the pressure switch (I would do this the last though)

3. There could be dirt collected at the water inlet. Solution remove the water inlet and clean the cup shaped strainer

4. Your outlet/drain pump (the one that pumps the water out of the washer into the drain) may have worn out, there by not draining out all the water. This will leave residual water impacting the next run. Solution replace the pump assembly

5. There may be particle collection such as coins pens, small pins etc in the darn pump inlet strainer causing the drain pump to not work properly and in turn causing SUDS/F35. Solution - remove the front of the drain pump inlet and remove the particles and restart.

6. There is a conical shaped connector connecting the outlet of the tub to the inlet of the drain pump. At one side of this connector (the broader side connecting to the tub) there is a plastic ball in it. If the ball is punctured, water may have collected in it causing it to weigh more than what it is supposed to. When the drain pump runs, the weight of this ball may counter act to not allow proper draining of the water. This residual accumulation of the water will cause SUDS/F35 in the next cycle. Solution - replace that flexible connector. Atleast drain the water from the front at the drain pump inlet, if you want the washer to work for that cycle.

7. There is a small white plastic tube at the back which runs a black tube to the pressure swtich. The assembly is pretty interesting. It is a simple insertion with the air tightness being achieved by a simple rubber gasket covering the insertable part (do not know why the design is such). After a few washes due to the vibration generated by the tub during wash, this gasket can move causing air leaks. Such air leaks do not cause any issue to the current run, but will result in a SUDS/F35 in the next run. It will remain so for al the next runs unless it is re-inserted properly. Solution for this? every time open the rear and make sure the plastic white part is pushed in well.

8. There are other reasons like the main control circulatory / mother board could have gone bad etc. You can figure if this is the problem by running the diagnostic tests for the most part - there is a good chance that only a certified technician can tell you. Solution - replace the mother board (quite stupid huh!!)

9. Finally, the steamer assembly could have gone bad - Although the manual says this, I cannot quite figure out how this would affect the pressure buildup in the tub - I do not know what to do. More than likely if you invite a technician, the person might ask you to replace this assembly.

Try everything - the net effect should be that you have plugged all air leaks. I know some expect to see water leaks at place where air leak exists. That may not be true at all. Good luck with everything.

Whirlpool Duet -Sud displays and washer stops

I;ve had the same problem (SUD on first fill) and found this most helpful for my WFW9600TW01 Duet washer

http://www.tellingmachine.com/post/Fixing-Sud-and-F35-errors-on-my-Whirlpool-WFW9600TW01-Washer.aspx

I duplicated his actions and it cleared up my SUD/F35 error. I think running the diagnostic test multiple times flushes the sensors/sensing lines to eliminate the problem.

F35 and Suds error on Kenmore Elite HE5t

I also got the SUDS error followed by F35 many times. I replaced the analog water level switch, Wirlpool part number W10156252, and the problem went away. The part is located against the back right corner of the top of the washer after removing the top cover. The part cost $62.99 + $12.95 express shipping from ApplianceZone.net. I have the Kenmore HE3t Steam Washer, model number 110.46752 700 front loader. I was able to run about 6 loads of laundry by unplugging the washer, waiting about 5 minutes, the re-plugging and re-starting the washer. Thereafter, the problem became permanent. I always used HE detergent. The washer was purchased new in December 2007, and the I made the repair in September 2009. I spent about $1300 for the Kenmore H3t Steam Washer, and I am disappointed that it required repair after less than 2 years. My mothers old Maytag washer lasted more than 15 years, and was not susceptible to soap SUDS.
