Hi i have a sony lcd projection kdf-e50a12u and as i turn it on the green light flashes for a few minutes untill it turns to red along with the light next to it and stays red?

the 4 blinks on that model are indicating the set isnt starting due to a problem with the fan,

Kdf-e50a10. tv was working for 1minute then turned off and green LED flashing for about 1 minute then turned ON again. it repeated every minute.

replace the ballast power supply block that will solve the problem .its on left side back of the tv by the fan

Kdf-e50a12u. just replaced bulb and tv was working for 5 mins then turned off and I have flashing red, green, red, each for 1 second then a 3 second green, then repeat.

Your fan or balast is bad. Try replacing the fan first. Sounds like a thermal sensor is tripping. Hope this helps.

Hi i have a kdf e50 a12u the bulb went so i relaced it and still no picture just keeps flashing green and red any ideas?

Ballast board it is what powers Lamp on.
Encompass Parts Distribution 1-800-638-3328

You need to make sure you do not have any defective Cooling Fans -If Lamp Fan is Defective Lamp will not come on either.But if Fan is running and Lamp Fails to light Ballast board

Hi it sounds like it could be an issue with board that powers the lamp ,it's called the ballast.When you put a new lamp in the ballast has to provide more power ,when it starts to go weak it will not light up.Sometimes you can put your old lamp in and will work fine.Try partstore.com they might have it right there.Hvae a blessed one!

The tv doesn't stay on. it turns on for 4 seconds and goes off... then comes back on and goes off.

Hi,
If its Sony KDF-E50A12U TV then its problem of weak lamp in TV that will be replaced and problem will be fixed. Lamp light on TV front will lit in case lamp is dead or broken but current symptom shows Lamp is not either dead or broken yet it got weak in result and causing problem.
Lamp replacement is easy and would be written in user manual.
Please but Sony original lamp for TV safety.

Sir check the lamp of your projection if already damage, if damage replace the lamp and reset also the lamp hour meter. Remove the screws to open the panel labeled "lamp" on the back of the Sony TV. Remove the screws that hold the lamp in place inside the TV. Pull the lamp out. Let me know what is your observation to the lamp so I can guide you. Good day and best regards.
