- I suggest you first clear browsing history. Clearing browsing history varies from the browser you are using:

If you are using Internet Explorer (go to Tools>Delete Browsing History)

For Firefox( click on the Firefox tab> History>Clear Recent History)

- Restart the browser and try to access download adobe reader again. If it;s still timing out, try to flush dns. Flushing dns will make the system recheck and refresh the DNS cache on your computer.

- Since the computer keeps address's of the websites you visit, it remembers the route and IP address of a specific website, if that changes and your computer still goes to the old route that's when you get a problem with visiting and downloading from the website, so the way to refresh your computer's DNS is to clear DNS cache.

1. Go to Start then type CMD on the search box.

2. When the black screen appears(command prompt), type in ipconfig /flushdns then press Enter on the keyboard.

- Restart your browser then try to download again.

- You may also try to use a different browser such as Google Chrome

Hope this helps.

How to install adobe reader 9

First, Download it if you don't already have it..
http://get.adobe.com/reader/

Click the install now, Follow the prompts with allow, yes, I agree, etc etc..

My only advice is that if it asks to install a google toolbar/etc. Uncheck the option.

The installation of adobe reader should be pretty straight forward.

I cannot download updates for Adobe Reader. I get

Completely uninstall Adobe Reader and download the full version Adobe's website. It sounds like one of the files is corrupt. Uninstalling it first should allow you to bypass the problem and install the latest version.

Need to delete Adobe Reader 7.0.9 so I can reinstall latest Versi

I was able to remove Adobe 7.0.9 by getting feed back from "question to google crowd"!
1. I had to download a program that removed the "setup" from the Adobe 7.0.9 on my computer.
2.I then downloaded Adobe 8.1 (with the understanding that since "7.0.9" now had no setup instructions" there would be no problem with the "8.1" download) -
3.Once "8.1" was downloaded I went to "ADD/REMOVE" and removed "7.0.9" - this time it worked just fine - no message that I had to find a folder with "7.0.9" .
4.After removing "7.0.9" I removed "8.1" with the ADD/REMOVE program;
5.All Adobe was removed from the computer..I then downloaded ADOBE 9 from Adobe's website.
6.I went to my portfolio to check it out and the pages came up without a hitch.
Goodluck to those who have had a similar problem.

Adobe reader

Don't bother with Adobe Acrocrap reader, it is a huge intrusive program.
You can get a free copy of Foxit pdf reader that can do everything Acrocrap reader can do without all the nonsense of phoning home for updates all the time.
You can download a free copy here:
